Matt was going through a stack of papers on his desk when a visitor came to the door. He shifted in is seat, but heard Foggy greet the client, since Karen was already busy with a phone call. His fingers moved back over the pages as he tried to refocus himself, but some buzzwords came up in his partner’s conversation. ‘Mob’ and ‘Russians.’ The lawyer stood up and exited his office. The paperwork could wait for now.

there’s something ironic about the fact that she’s in a house, owned by a man who vaguely looks like her dad but is not --- because if he was, she wouldn’t be lecturing him about how unhealthy is lifestyle is. it would probably be other way round, although she wouldn’t know, for her father has been rogue even years before her time travel.

It wasn’t that Elektra didn’t trust Clint. After all, she had let him drag her all the way out to the middle of nowhere to give herself time to heal. An agonizing process that had left her leaning on him more than she normally would have--both literally and figuratively. Foolishly, she’d expected the resurrection or perhaps being the Black Sky would help her heal faster. But ever since she’d crawled free from the rubble...

She hadn’t actually died this time. It wasn’t like waking up with her scars permanently etched into her body but no memory of the hurt. Instead, she had all these splintered pieces of memories and a battered body.

“Did you scare her shitless?” Jessica felt pathetic, crouched down on the sidewalk and trembling despite her jacket. Back against the rough brick of the diner. She couldn’t even look at Clint. All at once it was like being there on the docks, waiting for her guts to be ripped out on the evening news.  She’d asked the reporter to just back the hell off. Never did she think someone would follow her to a meeting...

The little kitchen radio was playing their song as she finished feeding the baby. She lifted Gerry up out of his high chair and up over her head. When that moon gets big and bright, it’s supernatural delight... Bobbi pressed a kiss to her godson’s stomach before bringing him down to her hip. Twirled around the kitchen, holding him so close to her.

It hurt her heart to hear him giggle against her neck. The way he curled his fingers in his hair. He looked so much like Clint and Bobbi had never shaken the feeling that he was supposed to be her’s, that it was unfair that he survived when their baby hadn’t. She didn’t think she even wanted children until she couldn’t, until her baby was taken away from her.
