I had the pleasure to attend a #CEO lunch meet and greet at the Hispanic Chamber with Ray Kowalik on Thursday, August 16th, 2018.  Ray Kowalik is the current CEO of the #KansasCity, Missouri based #BurnsMcDonnell corporation. The meet and greet was at full capacity consisting of Hispanic Chamber members and board members. The event started at 11:30 am and convened in the board meeting room.. Mr. Kowalik provided a background on his career path and philosophy towards leadership. It was awesome to hear his suggestion for self- development by way of quotes from books he has read.  First on his list, the book, #GoodtoGreat by James C. Collins. Mr. Kowalik is a fan of the book and suggested that we all read it. Great takeaways from this book: “Put the right people on the bus” “Create an environment for your workers to do great work” Check out the subject matter on inflection points and making sound decisions.
