I once again made a cool thing :)
GitLab.com
With tagfs you can "mount" a music file, exposing its tags and cover image as files, which you can not just read, but also write.
you can also add arbitrarily named tags (probably wont be usefull, but yeah)
also this means you could use this as a file archive, because i don't think there's a limit on the size of a tag.
in theory you could also edit the cover image in place, but krita refuses to read from it, and gimp refuses to save the image without an extension.
Nothing else is working, so i might as well try here.
Tech and software dev side of tumblr, I'm looking for a job. Anything Ruby or Elixir related would be such a win, but honestly, python or JavaScript or a mix of all of these plus Go would be appreciated. Got 3 years experience, recently just been freelancing but that's not going well.
Why ask now? Life took a turn and all I got is 2 months of rent left. So practically desperate ATP. Any leads would be appreciated.
in celebration of this here pride month, Go is not changing anything, as Go is already queer enough that we could not possibly get any less cishet here at Golang HQ.

When you decide to learn a programing language it's always like
New programing languages:
"I would like to learn this language!"
-"Here's the most beautiful website you've ever seen, 3 free textbooks, greatest documentation ever, and a billion dollars for you for just being interested!"
Old programing languages:
"I would like to learn this lang-"
-"Fuck you, go try to find where to download it on our website that we haven't updated since flash was commonly used"
Another one of those "doesn't look big, but is massive" updates... π
I added a full event & effect system to my engine, replacing a dozen smaller systems I had built to facilitate all of the other game mechanics in the over world.
That meant re-implementing: interactions, dialogue/chatter triggers, timers/delays, movement restrictions, zones, combat triggers, teleportation, state transitions, camera adjustments, and more...
But, hey! We got there! :) It just took 3-4 full evenings of effort... The only thing not working is dashing across gaps, that was a problem for another day...
On top of that, I added support for JavaScript event handlers, allowing me to embed JS directly into my entity definition in Tiled. This will hopefully make it easier to create more interactive worlds directly in the map editor, without having to hop around between my code and map editors. Event handlers can be written in Go, along side the rest of my code, in JS files (edited in my IDE) and referenced by entities, or inline directly in Tiled.
The default property editor is gross in Tiled for code snippets (see the video...), but I'm working on a fork of Tiled to support basic JS editing with autocomplete and linting based on a types file! Here's a little look at that:
Oh, I also added some actual settings in the menu, allowing me to more easily tune of knobs to debug rendering issues. Nothing for real players though...
Go Package Turns Hackers into Victims
A malicious Go module posing as an SSH brute forcer tricks operators into handing over stolen logins, secretly forwarding every success to a threat actorβs Telegram account.
