Hi @goops-art ! I was your secret Santa! Thank you so much for your patience, I know I'm getting this in 12 hours late. I'm a far slower painter than I realized. I saw that you like found family and I got an idea early this month after reading that! If I had the skills to do so I would have written a short fic to accompany this as I had a whole small narrative in mind, but I tried and I'm afraid it didn't come out right so I scrapped the idea. So I tried to do my best with visual storytelling! I'm not sure how well it comes across, but I had the idea of recovery after trauma with new family after the princess quest ending (and the subsequent reunion with old friends and family after a long period of repairs). Roxy is helping out with the surprise by using her special eyes to keep watch for the signal :)
I'm going to continue to try to add more small details but I didn't want to keep you waiting! Once I try to get the lighting I had in mind in place, if it looks better, I'll send it your way. I hope you had a wonderful holiday, and have a great New Year!
