Masys of Gray Vale (D&D OC), Chaotic Good “They say ‘no man is an isle’. Clearly, they’ve never heard of archipelagoes.” Masys was baseborn a Half Elf in the land of Gray Vale between a visiting Human Nobleman named Lumun Dayclaw and an Elven prostitute called Valstine. She was distrusted by most for her hybrid nature and that led her being brought out during a cleansing by a Corellite priest to rid their village of “impurities”. She escaped into the forest, where a kindly archer called Norydark taught her the way of the Ranger and gave her a deep appreciation of Silvanus. For years, she worked a fletcher until she was fed up and left to become an adventurer. As a ranger, Masys learned to use her already keen senses to great effect, able to identify sounds she would’ve previous passed off as just another noise. Her skill at the bow was built up with her hand-eye coordination and upper body strength, which came from mediation and diet respectively. She also holds a keen memory, able to tell you everything about animals and nature in detail, though things she learns for short term use can be forgotten unless written down. As a person, Masys will freely acknowledge she’s far different than others. She has different needs than others, different intelligence, and has difficulties in society. She rarely moves in groups, keeping her company small. Best that she stays that way, given she’s prone to finding everything wrong with anything she can think of and complaining about it. Still, she has a strong moral core, even if she is most likely to kill you for your serial sneezing fits.
