everyone looks forward to the weekends, but possibly idol trainees most of all. jinwook’s body hardly sustains the sixteen-hour schedules all the way through friday. he couldn’t imagine having saturday or sunday evenings taken from him too. 

he’d miss it way too much — making dinner and chilling with jinri on the weekends, her legs slung over his lap on the saggy couch in his apartment. his roommate isn’t around and the television is set a notch too loud, blaring a promo for the next episode of the fashion competition show they’ve been following.

jinwook scrolls through snapchat stories as they idly discuss this week’s elimination. he trails off, distracted when he sees the latest filters. his favorite lens is back, eyes blown up three-times their normal size, lips distorted until they take up the entire lower half of his face. jinwook giggles aloud at the sight, and watches his teeth stretch to fill the screen. he tilts his face closer to the camera. click!
