Y'all are sooo d1 shit talkers, the gossip, the drama, it's part of your daily talks. It helps you two bond sometimes, one of the little joys in life.
Though it initially gets on his nerves, he grows fond of your nonchalance, and when you get all excited about your interests he's happy to listen, as much as he may seem reserved about it. He honestly starts out kind of mean.. literally telling you to stfu, and then he means it in a joking manner... sometimes. He wants to match your energy, and before you get together he really develops a soft spot for you that helps with that (which helps him figure out his feelings!), it's something he grows into.
When it comes to responding to affection and love language, he’d try to pretend like your habit of spoiling him doesn’t get to him, but deep down, it almost messes with his head. If you get him a random gift or make him art, he’ll maybe say a blunt "thanks" and act like it’s whatever, but the way he keeps your gifts carefully stored or displayed says otherwise.
He's not big on public displays of affection, most you can expect is a hand on the small of your back or a hug, in addition to a "do you need me to get you anything or do anything for you?" here and there. In private I'd like to think he's a little more affectionate, more comforting touches, and more quality time. Before scary monsters, he's a more distant sleeper but he's definitely sleeping facing you at the minimum, after scary monsters, Diego has a need for some kind of contact whether you're just lying close for skin to skin or actually holding each other (he secretly prefers the latter, especially after a longer day, or if you've been apart for a while).
if you’re chatting with someone a little too long or if someone hew just does not like, he’ll act indifferent but will get noticeably moodier afterward. “Do you always waste your time with people like that?” he’ll throw in something passive-aggressive throughout the next couple hours (or days, he is a little diva), but you know him too well for him to get away with it.
