five times kissed /heLLO I AM A SLUT FOR MEMES
Theirfirst kiss leaves Lucas confused - flustered and running away to hide at hisdesk and strategically pile his paperwork so Graves wouldnât be able to see himthrough the office window. Itâs tender and warm andâŚwell, romantic ina way. Itâs also in an abandoned hallway in the MACUSA building. What if someone had caught them? Lucas wouldâve been, for lack of abetter term, the âeasiestâ one in the office. Would rather run away and saveGraves the embarrassment.
Kiss number two isâŚunexpected, to say the least. Theyâre on amission- as Lucas had been given permission to go back on the field - acting asa father and son who were having relationship troubles (which was very far from whatthey actually were - as well as embarrassing). Had to get close tothe criminal they were chasing, disguised and acting as fake as possible. Lucasdidnât realise how many dad jokes Graves actually knew.
When theyâre not socialising with other families and sittingthrough a presentation about how âfishing once a year didnât count as bondingâ,they were in some luxury cabin, forgoing sleep and trying to sniff out theshady crap going on.
Lucas dragged his gaze from the dim window, stifling an amusedsmile at the sight of his boss trying to stay awake and failing horribly at it.Barely a few minutes later when the auror is aware of the steady breathing andlack of sleep deprived complaining. Deciding heâd rather not deal with Graveshaving a cold, Lucas grabbed one of the expensive (and disgustingly patterned) blankets, draping it carefully over his bossâ frame before leaning forward to press akiss to one of his brows. Pulling back with flushed cheeks, Lucas returned tohis work.
Number three is possessive. The Christmas party in full swingand Lucas trying to avoid his ex, a member of the ministry who was apparentlyimportant enough to be sent an invitation, with no luck. The plying of drinksand overused compliments was enough to make anyone, even Graves, annoyed. Or,at least thatâs what Lucas could assume what with having no time to get a wordin edge wise before the elder is dragging him away and - oh, itâs the same hallway as before. Full lips cover hisown in a one sided battle for dominance. Can swear thereâs a slide of tongueand a rough bite and Graves is speaking low, too low -
The sound of the neighbour's yelling is what wakes Lucas up.
Number four? Lucas blames it on the alcohol.
He never really drank much, having always been a lightweight, and can only remember, vaguely, how he got here; in his bosses bed (thankfully still dressed - how did Graves even look so flawless when asleep?). The sound of pain is what makes Lucas really wake up.
Knows whatâll happen, still has the torn shirt from the first time heâd seen his boss suffer a nightmare, but Lucas reaches out anyway. Hand lifting from beneath the bed sheets - which were really soft - and let the pads of his fingers run over a stubble covered cheek. Thereâs no surprise when Gravesâ hand grips his own - tight enough to break the wrist, Lucas imagined - and his eyes open, wide, apologetic when he sees who it is. The younger doesnât let that stupid word âsorryâ fall from his mouth again; instead leaning forward to brush their mouths together, patient and hesitant, waiting, until those lips press deeply against his own.
The next time itâs casual and completely against Lucasâ rules about PDA in the work place. Heâs having a âsly insult contestâ, meaning a conversation, with the receptionist when a heavy arm settles around Lucasâ waist.
âSomething the matter?â
âNot at all,â the receptionist replies sweetly, too sweetly, with the familiar voice that belongs to Lucasâ unofficial boyfriend.
âWell, thatâs good.â Graves hummed and pressed a kiss to Lucasâ cheek before walking away. The receptionist goes silent and Lucas feels smug.
