Itās been a month of being in the hospital and Simon is feeling restless. Kingsglaive members come and go, but they never stay for long. Simon doesnāt blame themāthey have important jobs to do, after all. It wouldnāt be fair to hold that against them, but still. . .heās incredibly lonely.
The only relief he gets is from the pain meds and, funnily enough, visits from his pompous frenemy. While he wouldnāt call Alistair his enemy he wouldnāt exactly call him a full on friend eitherāfrenemy is a term that works well enough for him.
What he does not expect, however, is Alistair to offer him any form of physical affection. Perhaps he doesnāt give the privileged man enough creditāfor someone thatās probably never left the citadel for more than vacations, heās actually quite observant.
āWell. . .this bed has room enough for two, I think.ā Simon clears his throat, trying to ignore the way his face if flushing. āIf thatās what I think youāre offering, anyways.ā He looks awayāanywhere but Alistairās face, which is almost definitely going to be annoyingly smug. āI would not be opposed to, ah, affection that is physical.āĀ Ā ( x. )
Ā Ā Ā āĀ i think i can provide that.Ā āĀ alistairās voice is soft as he toes his shoes off, but he canāt quite keep the smug grin away. itās not often simon gives into him, stubborn bastard that he is, and alistair is going to revel in this rare win for as long as he can.Ā
Ā Ā Ā he slowly climbs into the bed, and curls himself around simon. simon is warm, solid, and thereās something actually quite pleasant about cuddling someone like this. alistair hasnāt held anyone or been held since he was a child. he had no idea he was missing out. of course, he wonāt say anything like that. heās no fool. simon would neverĀ let him live it down.Ā
Ā Ā Ā āĀ howās this ?Ā āĀ he asks instead once heās settled himself around simon. he smells like hospital soap and alistair wonders if he should sneak in something more personal the next time he visits.Ā Ā āĀ comfortableĀ .Ā .Ā .Ā ?Ā ā
