This took nearly twenty-two hours, but I’m so proud of the outcome! This is the first time I’ve done something like this, and I can say it’s definitely the best thing I’ve ever drawn.

azurite eyes scan robin’s face from across the table and etienne can’t help but wonder if their heart is hammering the same way his is. hart has wanted this for so long, hand reaches over the table to take robin’s, fingers slipping between theirs as a giddy, lopsided grin tugs at his lips. hart hasn’t been on many dates - - echoes of his father’s cruel words often rang in his ears. you ruin everything you touch, you’re worth no more than how you play on the ice. and it’s led hart to fear - - fear he’d be abandoned, fear he’d touch someone and they’d crumble. it was the last thing he wanted to do to robin. hart wants to give them the world. and that’s why he’s incredibly self-conscious on this date, wanting everything to be perfect for robin, especially having known they haven’t been treated right in the past. “how was your meal? are you still hungry? do you need me to call the waiter over for more water?” hart barely breathes between questions, eyes filled with concern as his thumb brushes the back of their hand.

in which hart is enamored by his cuddly, handsome boyfriend and cannot stop taking ( and posting ) pictures of him!
