Hi!! Do you have any tips on keeping dedication and finishing a story? I really want to fully plan out and write one, but I don't want to give up partway like I have before T.T
Ahh, wow I’m probably not the best person to ask about this tbh.
I have quite a few unfinished fics on my A03 that people keep asking about, but I have no motivation to write. When it comes to chaptered stories, I’m really not very good at finishing.
One-shots I can do though. They’re a lot shorter, so I can finish before losing interest.
Here’s the thing though, I’m hoping to take part in the pjobigbang this year as a writer, and the minimum word count for that project is 20k words, which is terrifying! The longest thing I’ve ever written has been 8k, so it’s a big step up!
But, I think I can actually do it?? Maybe?? Because I have some very supportive friends in the fandom who I know will cheer me on when I’m feeling completely unmotivated.
Like I said, I’m really not the best person to be giving advice about stuff like this, I’m sorry to disappoint you ;_;
