i absolutely despise the aesthetisization of politics and belief on the internet nowadays, and i don't mean using politics as an aesthetic but the complete other way around. i see it the most on this site since people actually like. have belief systems here but every single post NEEDS to fit a specific aesthetic in order to slot into the aesthetic belief of the poster, like, the exact same thing is said but it's so coached in aesthetic language that it becomes completely and utterly meaningless. like for example cottagecore and punk blogs (just the first two that come to mind) will say the exact same thing but in order for it to "fit" they put like "gay people deserve rights" in cutesy bubble fonts and flowers or a single sentence text post talking about how punk it is to be gay like you people not see this as an issue?? politics should not be coached in aesthetic value, period, not only does it devalue the message itself but it inextricably leads to the necessitating of aesthetic conformity for political thought, stop that shit and write out normal theoretical paragraphs like a normal person
