Royal Feast: A Thread of Named Dishes
Ep 9
Dish 44: Dragon Cucumber Salad, Grape Wine, Steamed Taro, Broad Bean with Fennel and Sugar Coated Taro
"It's always been a pleasure to have friends visit from afar. We should indeed make them feel at home. But the people of our country are the most precious. All the produce of this land is gifts from heaven to hardworking people. They should be the ones to savor it."
"Zhang Qian was sent as an envoy in the western regions. He brought back the ingredients you used today. Such a precious seed has taken root and spread across the land of China. After generations of cultivation, it becomes various dishes of delicacies. Giving and thanking each other. Other than preparing gourmet meals, add these to the daily menu of envoys too."

The text states: Chrysanthemum liquor clears wind from the head, increases the acuity of the ears and eyes, alleviates paralysis, stimulates the appetite, invigorates the spleen, warms Yin and raises Yang, and eliminates a hundred illnesses. Grape wine replenishes Qi and regulates the centre; however, it is rather heating in thermostatic character. It is suitable for Northeners to drink, but Southerners should not drink large quantities of it.
