❛ we’re just kids. we aren’t supposed to be heroes. ❜
Of course they’re not. But then again, Lass is neither a kid nor a hero, and so he likes to believe that the we in question doesn’t involve him.
Not when he’s caused about half the trouble that they’ve had to fix.
『 Bold of you to assume that ‘hero’ is what I’m aiming for, Plie. 』
He’s not like Elesis, or Ronan, or even Amy herself. He’s not there out of the goodness of his heart, or a sense of justice and morality. He made a mistake, and he’s just a kid put in self-observed time-out, reflecting on his errors and then cleaning up his own spilled milk, if the milk were capable of murdering everybody he reluctantly admits to caring about.
『 It’s a bit too late for me on that front, but for you.....well, if you’re going this far, the least you can get is the fancy title. 』
