I'M EATING SHRAPNEL
Well. I'm eating a German pastry called "Granatsplitter" (shrapnel).
It looks a bit like a shrapnel, hence the name.
Basically, it's leftovers of a bakery (mostly sponge cake) mixed with butter cream, rum and cocoa, placed on a wafer or similar and coated with chocolate.
It's quite nice, though one small bite can fill the stomach of a grown man. (I suppose Hobbits can eat four of those then)
