Old Grain Silos in Rockland,Maine. Apparently these were built in 1966, and only used once. Victims of a change in railroad shipping costs. Part of a local economic redevelopment project, which ended up providing nothing, and probably costing a lot of money. And for some reason they are now owned by the Passamaquoddy Indian Tribe. In 2005 there were plans put forward to turn them into condominiums! What a strange story. All this according to a newspaper article I found online. 8 x 10” or 20 x 25 cm, oil. #pleinairpainting#grainsilos#passamaquoddy (at Rockland, Maine) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWLSWJurty1/?utm_medium=tumblr
