panic at the crossing ft. @grailcrestâ !!
âŻ.:| âyouâre that girl, right? it looks just like you--the hair and everything!â was this supposed to be her life now? her managerâs voice rang in her head incessantly, an eerily cheery tone informing her: âtwo million views in a week, sana-chan!! can you believe it? youâre practically an idol already!â    she was just supposed to be here to get tea. her manager had her on a very particular liquid regimen to keep her voice in the best condition possible, and this included buying specialty tea designed for singers. there was only one health food store in shibuya that sold the very specific brand her manager instructed her to drink to heal her vocal chords. the two guys that had noticed her since her video went viral were almost more concerned with one-upping the other as opposed to actually talking to her. they would address her when she attempted to lie, and say they had her mistaken for someone else. then theyâd laugh and point, saying, âoh no, donât try and be shy. we saw your video, we know that was totally you! weâre youâre first fans, you know, we should get a special performance.â almost as soon as the heckling began, they began to speak of her as though she wasnât even there. They bantered to one another, saying how there was no way she had a boyfriend, heâd get too jealous of her idol life. and if she did have a boyfriend, he was nothing compared to these two âfine menâ. âi appreciate your support.â sana cautiously began inching away from the men, away from the crosswalk and, unfortunately, in the opposite direction of where she was supposed to go. her eyes searched desperately for a familiar place. there were plenty of students at shujin that came to shop in shibuya, right? the station was so close, there had to be other students getting off the train. then she saw him--his crisp, clean suit and attache case were like beacons of hope. GORO AKECHI was a few feet away from her. her heartbeat was deafening, and her slight trembling was beginning to become apparent. sana needed to get out of this situation right NOW and she prayed that the ace detective was as nice in real life as he was on tv. âbut i actually have an appointment with Akechi-san, today!â sana turned so the men wouldnât see her shattered face. her eyes threatened to release petrified tears, and her hands shook like they were having muscle spasms as she reached out to the young man, hoping to find sanctuary in holding his arm or hand--ANYTHING. she knew he was smart, and she prayed that he was even quicker on his feet to run with her ruse. if he didnât, she was doomed.Â
