Chapter 9 : Homecoming

Roman Gonzalez

When we got to the car paparazzi was everywhere my aunt wasn't use to it at all because she was shooing them with her bag meanwhile Adam was posing which made me laugh.Kehlani quickly covered her face making sure no one seen her and so did Roderick we quickly got into the car and started driving. "Is that what you guys deal with all the time ?" Adam said smiling we all said "yeah." Adam then looked at Aunt Becca "I want to experience that so much more mom." She laughed as she drove and then began to talk "so Roderick you keeping my nephew out of trouble." I motion to him saying yes, he chuckled" of course I am we actually been going to church on Sunday's." She seemed interested " oooo really what church ?" Roderick was stuck and said the dumbest answer I could possibly hear" uh home of sinners?" I face palmed then glared at him . 

My aunt didn't buy it "yeah right." Adam then was looking at Kehlani and Rodeick " I'm such a big fan of both of you guys honestly Kehlani I love your song with chance the rapper." He stopped and looked at Roderick "and you are just a beast in general." They both smirked and said "thanks ." before noticing they both said thanks and got annoyed I looked at Adam "bro how have you been ? My aunt interrupted him "yeah Adam how have you been?" She said glaring at him he looked at me nervous "well I'm a dad now." I looked at him shocked "what you mean nigga?" He smiled "well I don't know what else that can mean." Aunt Becca slapped his head he laughed "yeah he is a father." She said looking at me in the rear view mirror "damn that's crazy kid you know I'm always here for you." He laughed "of course you are you probably going to be the god father." I smiled "I better be shit." 

We pulled up to the house and I seen another car there, I looked at Aunt Becca "who car is that?" She cleared her throat while Adam looked out the window not saying much she then looked at me "don't get mad honey, that's your brothers car." As she stopped the car Kehlani rubbed my back and my aunt looked at everyone "can you guys give us a minute?" She said looking at everyone Roderick opened the door and walked out so did Adam Kehlani was about to leave until I looked at aunt bec and said "she's fine here." "Look I don't want you to blow up in there or get mad he honestly didn't come to me with any animosity or anything he honestly just wanted to meet you he known about you for a long time but was scared too meet you remember that is your brother in there and before you say or do anything stupid think about what you will miss out if you don't give him a chance." Aunt bec said looking at me before giving me a kiss on the forehead and getting out the car. Kehlani laid her head on my shoulder and I did the same and finally I got out the car and walked inside the house with Kehlani on my side. When I got in I noticed him at the table I told Kehlani to give us some time and she nodded her head before giving me a kiss on the cheek and walking away into the living room.

Abraham Rhodes

I sat down as I saw him sat across from me he looked a little angry I cleared my throat and smiled at him. "What's up?" He said looking at me I mean I wanted to get up and give him a hug but I didn't know how he would feel about that.He sat there looking at me not saying much not even responding and I just had to let him know how I felt. "Look I know this must be weird you just finding out about you having a brother you never knew, and I just want to say that I get the timing is inconvenient." He looked at me intensely before looking away.

 "How does ESPN know I have a brother and I don't did you like tell them or something and if so how ?" He placed his hand on the table getting comfortable "Look honestly I was talking to my wife." He interrupted "wife? You got kids too?" I nodded before reaching into my back pocket and bringing out my wallet and tossing it to him. He grabbed it looking at the photo of my kids and wife in my wallet. "Yeah I do her name is Melanie and we have a son who is 3 and a daughter who is 6 Bryson, and Onyx, but I wrote a letter to ESPN honestly I didn't know if they were going to read it or not. I didn't know how to reach you and your aunt gave me your number but I was scared honestly just to call you and be like this is your big bro." 

He chuckled I nervously chuckled back "so yeah I honestly wanted to meet you bro if you don't mind me calling you that." He smiled "nah your cool bro." I smiled big and saw him looking at the picture of our dad in my wallet." This dad?" He said in a low tone "yeah it is ." I said in a calm voice "you talk to him still ?" I didn't want to answer the question because I honestly don't know how he would feel "yeah I still talk to him." I can tell that hurt because he balled up his fist and he threw the wallet back at me and got up and walked out the door. I got up following him I saw him sitting down on the step with his head down in what it seemed like deep thought. "You know when I was little everyday I would ask my mom about him and honestly I would wonder what kind of man would leave a kid and a woman all by themselves, good thing we had Aunt Bec." I noticed his eyes get teary I sat down by him and hugged him at first he was resisting until he hugged me back and just sobbed for a bit. "Look Roman I know what you mean I didn't know dad at all until I reached out to him when I was in high school honestly I still don't have answers for what he did to me but I learn to forgive him I'm not saying you do but if you want we can meet him someday like together." He looked at me angry "it's a little too late for that bro trust me." He then wiped his face with his sleeve before looking at me "you know I always wonder what it would be like to have a big brother." He said smiling "I always wondered what it would be like to have a little brother I'm an only kid like you." He laughed "I'm not an only kid I have a sister my mom adopted her she'll like you." We both got up and walked into the living room where everyone looked at us and started smiling his Aunt came up to both of us giving us a hug and a kiss on the cheeks.

Kehlani Parrish

I looked at Roman and his brother just talking the night away getting to know each other, it was cute seeing him connecting with his family. Suddenly my phone started ringing and I got up excusing myself before walking to the bathroom, I shut the door and sat on the bathtub.

"Hello Kehlani where are you at ?" my manager said in a tone. "Chill I'm with Roman in ..." I stopped realizing if I said Ohio he would lose it. "I'm in Ohio ." I said nervously before hearing him on the other end "OHIOOO?! Why are you there you have two shoots tomorrow a meet and greet and a concert at the mall for the make a wish kids ?!" I grabbed the phone placing it near my ear whispering "I know I know." He interrupted "what is your exact location I gave him my location " okay get an uber and go to the airport and got on the first flight back to LA we can't have you doing this at a time like this bye Kehlani." He hung up the phone and I look down letting a sigh out and dropping my head shaking it.

 I got up and looked at myself in the mirror I opened the door and Roman came in and shut the door behind him. He smiled looking at me and I was confused "why you so happy weirdo" he stepped closer and said "I don't know just happy you are here and we can spend it together for two days." He said reaching for my hand I looked down because I didn't want to tell him. He left my chin up before giving me a kiss on the lips slowly and grabbing my face and kissing me again and smiling in between it, he placed his forehead on mine and gave me another kiss. I stopped as we began to walk "Roman I can't stay for two days." he stopped walking and looked back "why not ?" I looked up at him grabbing his face then kissing him "look don't get me wrong I would like to spend two more days with you but I have a busy scheldue I'm supposed to be at something right now but I'm here ." He let go of my hand " so why are you here, you can't be missing things out because of me." I looked at him confused "so you are not mad ?" " no I understand you have a career and everything and you got priorities too ." 

I smiled big before kissing him on his lips my hands went behind his neck and he gripped my waist as I bit his lip he slipped his tongue in my mouth and picking me up and placing me on the sink. I laughed as he kissed on my neck "we can't be doing this in here your aunt is downstairs with your brother." He continued kissing my neck I laughed a bit trying to push him off. He then pinned my hands to the wall and started sucking on my neck and honestly I was getting turned on. "Roman stop." I said moaning a bit throwing my head back I then grabbed him and started kissing on him feeling on him and sucking on his neck and kissing his lips softly. We began making it out heavily he was groping on my ass and body as I felt all around on him. We suddenly heard a knock at the door and Roman said "occupied." I laughed pushing him off and fixing my hair and everything he then looked at me smiling grabbing on my waist as we walked out his cousin looked at me and him chuckling.

 "In the bathroom really?!" Roman wiped the lipgloss he had on his lips laughing as we both walked downstairs. When we walked downstairs we went separate ways before his aunt said "there is a Black car that reads uber?" I looked at her smiling "that's my ride." She looked at me confused "ride? Well where you going,you coming back." Roman looked at her "aunt bec she's a singer and she is very busy she missed some things just by coming and I didn't want her missing anymore so I called her an uber." He lied to her and she understood she then came up to me and gave me a hug and kiss "you take care now honey." I then started to walk out the door before Roman followed me "I'm just going to walk her out ."he said walking behind me. We got outside which was cold and he quickly grabbed me before giving me a kiss," just hit me up when you aren't busy and we can do something." I smiled kissing him back "I'd like that." Before walking into the car he walked by the door and just watched as the car left down the block before going back inside.

When I got back in everyone was at the kitchen table eating and talking I looked at Roderick and I told him to come over here. He got up off the table and began to walk before aunt bec looked at him and cleared her throat he chuckled "my bad can I be excuse ?" She smiled "yes you can baby." He followed me to the living room, "we cool right because I don't know we haven't talked all day and I didn't know how you were feeling." He looked at me placing his hand on my shoulder "if you talking about Kehlani that's old news bro don't worry we straight my nigga." I looked at him shaking him up"coo coo." We both walked back to the kitchen table and start smashing on some mash potatoes and gravy and some breaded chicken breast with collard greens and corn. We then played some games that aunt bec brought out before we all headed to bed Abraham left and we exchanged numbers and I told him that whenever he wants he can call me and either I'll come back or he should see if he can come over with his family. Everyone was asleep and all I can hear was Roderick snoring in my room on the ground on the air mattress aunt bec brought out for him.

 I got up and walked to the basement to watch some tv and my phone started ringing and I looked at it and it was Janelis. "Hey are you up ?" "Yeah I'm up why are you up ?" I said looking at the time. "Hold on let me call you on FaceTime." She transferred to FaceTime and she was in this tank top with her hair up and she was smiling into the phone. "Why you so smiley?" I said chuckling "I don't know I'm just happy to see you I guess." She looked away blushing "Awee you missed me ?" I said laughing she rolled her eyes "not really was bored ." She laughed looking at my face which was serious "I'm joking I'm joking no but I just wanted to see what all happened between you and your brother."I placed my hand in my shorts to get warm since the basement was cold "it went good honestly I'm an uncle apparently now." She looked at me shock "wow have you met your niece or nephew? "Both and no I haven't I told him he can come over sometime and his family can stay at my house." I said laying down looking at her."that's crazy your an uncle maybe one of the cutest uncle I seen." She laughed "Janelis was that flirting ?" I smirked "maybe it was maybe it wasn't." She said smirking hiding her face. I smiled and she smiled back I did a funny face and so did she I laughed laying back down"what you doing ?" She said taking a bite of something "laying down talking to you what you eating you going to share ?" I said smirking "probably if you were here I would." I chuckled "that probably word is funny, you would be sharing." She laughed "well shit I guess I might with your big ass ." I laughed and I heard the doorbell "who is at your house and this time ?" She laughed "9 o clock I don't know, let me go check I'll call you back don't fall asleep."

Chapter 8: Touching Down

Roman Gonzalez

I woke up looking to see Kehlani was asleep and so was Roderick the flight attendant came up to me. "Need anything ?" I looked at her flashing a smile "how long is it until we touch down in Cleveland." She looked at me and couldn't answer the question "hold on I’ll go ask the pilot." She walked away and I got up immediately walking to the bathroom which was surprisingly big. I shut the door then looked at my phone and noticed the time I didn't know if it was super late in LA but I tried to FaceTime Janelis. I placed the camera up fixing my hat as it called Janelis, then suddenly it started to connect.

Janelis Smith

I sat on the couch with a bowl of froot loops and mom on my side " so you slept with the boy on Roderick team?" She shook her head at me , "do you like him honey ?" I looked at her covering my face and muttering in my hand yeah. "Janelis take your hand away from you face you are not a child do you like him?" "Yes mom I do I like him I don't know he just is so sweet and nice and honestly mommy you would love him." She shook her head getting up "baby what about Terrell though?" I looked at her with a glare "mom he cheated on me !" She walked to the kitchen and  brought us both back a glass cup of wine.

 "Are you sure he cheated on you?" I looked at her again before covering my face and muttering in my hands."I don't know." She pulled my hands off "Janelis Alexandria Smith you don't know ?!" She said shaking her head at me then throwing a pillow at me. "Well what are you going to do honey." I cried out "I don't know." Before falling in her lap her hands moved the hair out my face and she just held me "honey you can't do this two both of these guys you have to pick one, honestly just pray God sends you a sign honey." 

She then got up and kissed my forehead "I'm going to sleep honey you can stay as long as you want." As soon as she got up my phone went off and she stopped walking I looked at her then back at my phone "Mom it's Roman!" She looked at me and then up "I just pray for lord that you will bless me with a new man." I laughed before throwing a pillow at her. "Mom this is serious , what do I do." She then ran over and sat on the couch "answer it !" I quickly got myself together before clicking accept.

It opened up and he was just smiling “hey” he said awkwardly I smile back “hey”, then my mom yelled “hey”. He laughed "who was that ? " I pointed it to my mom "oh it's just my mom ." She waved and he waved back I then put it back on me and mom mouthed he was hot. I move the phone away from my face and mouthed "I know." Before high-fiving her. I then looked at him and saw where he was "why are you in a bathroom?" I looked over at mom seeing she was being nosey turning down the tv and mouthing to me to turn up her phone. 

He chuckled "well it's the only privacy I had and plus I'm on an airplane ." I looked at him confused "why though ?" He smiled rubbing the back of his head before sitting on the ground."well I'm going to go back to Ohio to talk to my aunt about my new brother ." I looked at him interested "so what's going on with that is that your actual brother." I said placing my cup down looking at my mom who seemed bored. "honestly I don't know but honestly I wouldn't mind a brother I just hope he is because I'm going to look dumb coming all the way over here with your brother." "Roderick is with you ?" I said confused he smiled "yeah he's asleep though, maybe drunk too." Me and my mom both rolled out eyes at the same time he laughed " what I told him not to drunk that much then he went on about saying he's going to get drunk faster at how high we were in the sky." I sucked my teeth at him "sounds like him."

I sat on the ground on FaceTime with Janelis "so how was your day?" She smiled big "it was good honestly, busy but good the kids today were good." I smiled back noticing her smile "speaking about that when are you free like not taking a test or anything?" She looked at me confused" well honestly next week they aren't doing anything just going over this book.. Why " she paused I smirked big "well I'm all about giving back to the community so I was thinking maybe coming with the team or Roderick and playing basketball with the kids." I saw a smirk feel up her face before blushing and looking away and smiling I couldn't help but to laugh she then flipped her hair . "Well honestly I have to run that through with the principal I'm pretty sure he'll be fine but just in case I'll ask him tomorrow." "Okay cool cool ." She rolled her eyes "what ? I said chuckling as she looked at me "you been spending to much time with Roderick." I laughed a bit "chill on him that's the nigga." She rolled her eyes chuckling a bit "okay Roderick." 

I noticed my phone was dying and I looked at her with my lips pouting ." What's wrong?" she laughed a bit "my phone is about to die that's all and I might need to hang up." She pouted which I thought was cute "I mean I can talk to you until my phone turns off ." She smiled "no it's okay I'll talk to you tomorrow or later if I'm up." I smiled big "bet but you sleep tight and sweet dreams." I whispered "about me."she laughed "I'll talk to you later Roman ." I smiled before she hung up I gave her a big cheesy smile "your mom still in the room." She did this sexy smirk "yes why?" I laughed "oh nothing just wanted to say good night to her too and sweet dreams."Awee." I heard her mom saying before hearing her say "good night and sweet dreams." I laughed before saying bye and clicking off. I got up off the floor and looked at myself smiling in the mirror then thought about Janelis then my mind drifted to Kehlani. I went to go open the door when I seen Kehlani walk in. She bit her lip walking close to me lifting up her shirt I was honestly  shocked. 

Janelis Smith

Mom looked at me and I looked at her "girl he is so cute !" She said jumping over to me like a little kid, "mom this is serious you think he likes me?" She smiled "I mean the way you guys were talking it was so cute I heard the wedding bells in my head." I rolled my eyes "mom I'm serious do you see what I'm up against he is just so nice and sweet and I don't know honestly he gives me butterflies and all that stuff a girl should feel." She looked at me concerned "but what about Terrell?" My mind went off to me and Terrell and our history and honestly I didn't know what to do at all I'm not going to say I didn't love him I did but maybe I was in love with him but  I honestly don't know what to do after spending time with Roman.

Kehlani Parrish

I walked toward him pushing him up against the wall he dropped his phone on the ground. He smirked "what's uh going on here?" I placed my hands behind his neck kissing him slowly grinding on top of him I jumped on him as he kissed me back he walked forward holding me up. He placed me on the sink and took off his shirt before locking the doors, "you just woke up and your ready to have sex huh ?" He said smiling pulling him closer still holding me we kissed some more. I smiled feeling on his body and looking up at him licking my lips " I don't know I mean I never joined the mile high club and I wouldn't mind doing it." I smirked as my nails walked up his abs and behind his neck as I pulled him closer kissing him swapping our tongues and feeling on his body as his hands gripped my waist and butt. 

He then stopped and placed his forehead on mine and kissed me slowly before letting me go and looking away. I looked at him confused "what is something wrong?" He looked at me "are you sure you want to do this you are not doing this for any other reason?" I got off the sink " what do you mean by that?" He rubbed his hands on the back of his head "look I don't want to make you mad or anything it's just Roderick is out there , and I hooked up with someone then all of a sudden you climb on top of me like I just don't want you to do something you will regret like if you want to do that with me I just want you to be ready." He grabbed my hand kissing it before looking at me and grabbing my chin and giving me a kiss. He then got his shirt and looked at me "you good?" 

Honestly I didn't know how to feel Initially I came in because I wanted too but then I thought about it he was right it may seemed as if I was doing it for those two reasons and I looked around do I honestly just want to do it in an airplane bathroom.  "Yeah I'm fine." I walked over hugging his waist as he kissed my head "I just don't want you to do anything you'll regret or second guess you feel me." He said holding me hugging me tighter he then chuckled " but if you were really about it." He bit his lip leaning down to kiss me I kissed him back holding his face before snuggling up to his chest. "Nah you can wait ." I said smirking putting on my shirt and walking out. As I walked out he slapped my butt which made me bite my lip and he smirked. I sat down on my seat not even paying mind to Roderick snoring, he walked out shortly sitting down looking at me smiling.

Roman Gonzalez

The flight attendant just walked by me "we will be arriving in approximately 15 minutes do you want some water or anything?" I smiled back "no, thank you though." She then smiled then walk the other way asking Kehlani the same thing. I threw this pillow I had to Roderick to wake him up "wake up nigga we going to be there!" I said getting up shaking him. He rolled over to his side "nigga you play too much ." He muttered I laughed a bit I sat down and text him my aunt that we were 15 minutes away.

Aunt Becca

"Oh hush up boy tell me when you see him he should be here any minutes." I looked at the time and back at him I held the sign that said Gonzalez. Adam was happy to see his cousin I mean I was too I haven't seen my nephew, ever since he left for college. I saw him walk out with a jacket and two other people he saw us and he immediately came jogging over he ran toward me giving me a big hug. Honestly I teared up as he kissed my cheek he smiled before wiping away my tears "I missed you Aunt bec." "

Chapter 7: The Aftermath

Roman Gonzalez

I got up out of the bed smiling then noticing Janelis wasn't there, I then walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth I stood there in boxer briefs brushing my teeth thinking about yesterday night. Was that a date, sure as hell felt like one , and then the sex I mean thinking about it got me hard low key. I walked down the stairs only to see a plate of eggs with some toast and bacon and a note.

"Had a good night had to leave early thank you for everything talk to you later hope you enjoy the breakfast."

I threw the note back onto the counter before grabbing the plate and sitting down. I already know I'm not going to make this weird I mean we had sex but she still got a man and I honestly don't know if she wants to keep this a secret or a one time thing, I will say one thing she is just an amazing human being and my mind is definitely going to be on her. I chewed on the bacon which was great as I walked up the stairs to get on my phone I jumped on my bed reaching for my phone plugged up. I turned it on only and to see some messages some from my aunt, some from Kehlani and one from Roderick .

Roderick

"Where you at nigga?"

Kehlani

"Wyd, I got a surprise for you ."

Aunt Becca

"I miss you honey I have some news to tell you."

I grabbed the phone immediately calling Aunt Becca and sitting up on the bed I waited listening to the dial tone. I got up out of bed walking with the phone on speaker as it went to voicemail.

"Hey aunt Becca I miss and love you too hope your doing good, did you get the money I sent you also call me back when you have a chance I want to hear your news." I hung up the phone before hearing my door bell rang I quickly grab some grey sweats and a black tank top before rushing down the stairs. I walk to the door and open it and Kehlani jumped into my arms immediately making me stumble back. I look at her confused "what are you doing here I thought you had some photo shoots to do." She kissed my cheek "I finished early and some thing I rescheduled I just felt bad I wanted to spend the day with you." I smiled before hugging her. "So what do you want to do today ?" She said smiling looking up at me honestly I felt bad but I didn't know what to say I mean I know Kehlani likes me and I do like her but I can't ignore what happened yesterday.

"Do you like me ?" I stood there looking at her she looked at me confused " I mean of course I do." I looked at her grabbing her waist "no do you like me enough to be in a relationship with me ." 

She stood back looking confused "I mean I haven't thought about it like that yeah I mean yeah I like talking to you, and yeah I like what we have but I been hurt and I don't know if I want to rush in anything I believe we are both single and we should stay that way." I smiled big before saying "that's good because that's how I exactly feel which is why I wanted to tell you something."

 She looked at me confused yet again "what is it ?" She said with her hands on her hip "I hooked up with someone yesterday ." Her face quickly changed then she looked down "oh really." I noticed the difference to when she came in to now "yeah and I'm honestly telling you because I don't want to like hurt or betray you honestly don't want to mess up what we have." She then walked up and kissed my cheek "you're sweet and I understand and honestly I'm feeling indifferent I mean I know we're both single and it shouldn't matter but yet I’m happy you told me because you didn't try to hide it or anything I feel weird because I don't know how I feel honestly because I do like you but I can't be mad because you are single and so am I." She said walking to this counter looking away I honestly didn't know what to say suddenly my phone rang and I saw it was my aunt.

"Hey aunt Becca I don't think this is a good time can we talk later." I looked at Kehlani sitting down on my couch and thought I hope I didn't hurt her. "Yeah yeah call me when your free it's important I love you." She then hung up and I walked to the couch and sat down and nothing was really said until she looked at me. "I mean I want to be mad but honestly I can't your not mine but I just felt as if we had something honestly special." I grabbed her hand and kissed it "look we do I mean I think about you a lot but I don't know I'm not going to say yesterday was a mistake but I honestly don't know." She took her hand away from me slowly placing it on her chin, "who was it ?" She said looking up at me her eyebrows arched. I let out a breath "I can't really tell you not because I don't know her more because I don't think she wants people to know She then got up and began to walk to the door before stopping I honestly wanted to stop her but there was nothing I can do I understood why she felt the way she felt. We weren't together but we were together in a way not physically more emotionally in a way. She then walked over and sat on the couch before laying on my chest honestly I was confused but then again I was happy. "We are single, yes but just let me know that when we try to do something or become something you are going to put effort in it." I looked at her smiling caught off guard "I put effort into everything I commit myself too." She then smiled before grabbing my hand and kissing it. I moved the hair away from her face just laying down she then grabbed the remote and turned on the tv.

"This just in Roman Gonzalez point guard for the LA Fighters has a brother who would like to reach out to him. As for now we are not sure if this is a joke or anything but we will keep you guys updated this is Amber for ESPN news."

I looked at the tv confused on what I was just hearing, I then quickly got up and called my aunt Becca back. "Did you know I have a brother." I said pacing in the kitchen I seen Kehlani get up walking toward me rubbing my back. "Honey this is why I called you, I honestly think this guy is your brother he sort of looks like you he met up with me he wants to meet you."  I stood by the counter so confused like was this actually happening and out of every time why now. "Where are you at aunt bec?" I said kissing Kehlani forehead before rushing upstairs "I'm at home honey why are you coming to see me ?" I walked in my room quickly finding some clothes I can change into. "I'm going to call coach and talk to him see if I can then I'm going to come, see you make sure you keep the guy with you at all cost." I laced up my shoes sitting on my bed with the phone to my ear before grabbing my wallet. "Okay honey I'll see you soon then if anything, love you." " love you too aunt Becca see you soon." I walked downstairs placing my cap on my head and walking toward the living room seeing Kehlani."where are you going?" She said getting up off the couch"I'm going to Ohio to see my aunt." I stopped for a minute then asked "would you like to come." I said flashing an awkward smile. I mean she came to hangout with me it would be fucked up if I just left her after making the effort to see me.

Kehlani Parrish

I took his hand as we walked outside to his car I got to the passenger side I could tell he just needed someone to support him. I watched him grip the wheel and speed off the driveway and onto the street I can tell this was bothering him. His phone rang and he answered it I sat there starring at him talk on the phone and drive, I listened to his conversation.

"I know ain't that some bull shit."

I then pulled out my phone and began snap chatting I recorded him driving and he stuck his tongue out to the camera. I captioned the video "this goofball☺️" before posting it on my story.

"Who were you on the phone with ?" I said looking at him he chuckled "oh someone from the team good friend I'll think you'll like him." Once we got to the house he parked the car and we stopped "do you want to come inside or just wait in the car?" He said looking at me twisting the key and taking it out. "I'll go in." I said opening the door stepping out with him. We walked to the door his arm around me and my arm around his waist we got to the door and rang the door bell.

I walked away from the kitchen to the door hearing the door bell I opened up the door and literally my jaw fell to the ground.

"Yo is this a joke ? " Roman looked at me confused and then looked at Kehlani who was rolling her eyes walking back to the car. Roman looked at her confused "Kehlani where are you going." She yelled back "into the car." Before Roman looking back at me "what is going on do you guys know each other?" He said stepping in. I looked at Roman then back to the ground my hand rubbing the back of my head "yeah nigga that's my ex ." Roman jaw dropped and looked at me confused "your ex what ?" I closed the door letting him in "I'll tell you inside." Roman walked inside and sat on the couch "nigga are you ready, and explain how and what happened to y'all."

Kehlani threw a glass vase at the wall " Are you fucking kidding me Roderick I'm tired of your shit." She said raising her voice hitting my chest. I pushed her off "You gon to chill the fuck out now I'm serious Kehlani I'm not playing this shit at all." She rolled her eyes "fuck you nigga!" I yelled back "fuck you bitch!" She stormed off before immediately stopping "bitch.. " she said in a calm tone, before raising her voice "BITCH NIGGA YOU THE BITCH FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT SHIT." She quickly reached her hand to my face to slap it but I grabbed her hand." Don't you fucking dare think about it." I threw her hand down before turning around and walking away. She sat down on the couch I can hear her sobbing "you are fucking pathetic just like your fucking dad." I stopped "what the fuck you say to me ?" She got up yelling "YOU HEARD ME NIGGA YOU ARE JUST LIKE YOUR FUCKING DAD YOUR A BITCH A NO GOOD NIGGA FUCK YOU HOE ASS NIGGA I SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT YOUR BUM ASS." She kicked and scream "NIGGA PUT ME DOWN FUCK YOU!!!" I opened the door throwing her out and closing the door. She kicked and punched that door I can hear her crying from the outside "Fuck you Roderick I never want to see your ass again fuck you." I slid down the door before punching the wall. I heard her screaming and I heard some glass breaking I got up immediately and looked as she was fucking up my car. I sat on the couch just looking around at the house a mess and all I can hear was the alarm going off.

"So that's basically what happened?" Roman sat down listening looking at me shocked "what happened though that it escalated to this." He said drinking some water as I got some shit to leave. "I'd rather not talk about that nigga but let's go we have to be at the airport for that jet in like 30 minutes." He looked at me "you know Kehlani is going right." I let out a sigh "oh fuck okay let's just go I ain't saying shit to her." He got up and we walked to the door I walked to my car "I'll see y'all there." I said throwing up the deuces and walking to my car.

Kehlani Parrish

I sat in the car, waiting and waiting just until I seen both of them come out . Roman walked back into the car and it was dead silent, he then looked at me "look what happened?" He said in a calm voice before turning on the car "I don't want to talk about it Roman." He looked at me at first then said "okay." And began following Roderick . After dead silent I just had enough "why are you friends with him?" I said looking at him confused. "He was there for me from the first day and honestly he was just cool to me he was the first one he walked up to me and he just had my back." He said looking at me driving. "Watch out for him Roman I'm saying this because I care for you, I don't know him now but the old Roderick wasn't the best person." He looked at me concerned "what do you mean?" I looked at him worried then looked away out the window "it's nothing." We didn't say much after at one point he turned on the radio and just raised the music. I can tell he was frustrated because first the brother thing now this. When we got to the airport he looked at me "we have to go in his airplane are you cool with that?" He said looking at me concerned. I couldn't really say no so I looked at him "it's whatever let's just get this over with."

As we got out the car Kehlani stayed behind me I can tell she wanted to be alone so I didn't really try to grab her hand or anything.  We walked into the plane where Roderick was already sitting down and I already knew this was going to be weird ass flight. When I went to go sit down no one said anything but then my phone went off and they both looked at me then looked away. They both text me at the same time and someone else texted me I was honestly shocked.

"Look I know after yesterday things are weird between us well I hope not because honestly I had a lot of fun but I just want to say I hope you are okay heard about the news about your brother I guess, if you need anyone to talk to I'm here."  

I looked at the message over and over before moving all my hair to the side stressing out and clicking send. I quickly locked my phone and threw it on the bed before getting up and looking around it was weird not seeing Terrell but I guess that was something I was going to get used to. I looked at myself on the mirror checking for any hickeys or anything I didn't notice any I placed my hair up with hand wrapping it in a bun with the other before walking downstairs. As I walked downstairs I heard the doorbell ring "just a minute." I hollered walking to the kitchen grabbing a bottle of water and swallowing these pills for my headache. When I walked to the door I looked to see who it was and I didn't see anyone I opened the door slowly and Terrell came from our the corner. I quickly tried to shut the door but he let his foot slipped in "give me 5 minutes that's all I ask ." He said in a low voice he honestly sounded sad . I opened the door stepping to the side as soon as the door opened he came in he knew better to touch me . I looked at him with my hand on my hips and he looked at me sad, I wasn't falling for it "spit it out 4:58 , 4:57 time is ticking." I said walking toward the kitchen as he followed me.

I let out a breath " I didn't or will never cheat on you Janelis the fact that you think that hurts me honestly and then you not coming back at all hurt, like if we don't have trust what do we honestly have if you honestly think that I would hurt you any way I'm obviously not doing my job as your man, I know we in the beginning I fucked up but that was the beginning baby I have mature enough and let my childish ways because of you and if you don't think ever fiber in my body doesn't love you then I wasn't being your protector the thing you need the most, honestly baby I do love you I can see me and you in this for the long run." I saw her soften up as I poured my heart I grabbed her little hand and kissed it bringing her to me. At first she wasn't with it but she finally gave in hugging me but then something snapped as she pushed off me.

"Look I want to believe you honestly I do Terrell but until you can look me in the eyes and tell me who that girl is me and you don't."

I immediately interrupted her.

" Her name is Mia and she also is a singer and I was following her for a possible client to the business that's all she came to say hey and talk some business I mean she can be touchy feely but that's her I can explain to her not to do that shit again honestly it's nothing at all." She looked at me sucking her teeth before walking to a cabinet grabbing a glass cup and feeling it up with juice. " the things is Terrell she should have already known you shouldn't have to tell her that you should got all touched up she should already know who I am and the fact that she doesn't and that she was rubbing on you ."

"But she does know you she was going to talk to you but I told her not to honestly that's just her character I don't know what you want me to say nothing happened between us at all I mean at all." I said rubbing my hand through my hair and sitting down. She looked at me and I looked at her she seemed heartbroken but I honestly I couldn't tell "look I'm not going to sit here and tell you my feelings have gone away because they haven't I still love you but I don't know seeing that girl just touch you made me mad like very mad but I don't know who am I going to be mad at the nigga for being a nigga or a hoe being a hoe." She sipped some of her drink then looked back at me looking sad " look I'm not saying we are over but I just need space." I looked at her confused because honestly I didn't do anything but for her I'd do anything for "that's fine just know for you I'm not going to stop fighting." I got up walking to the door as she followed me once we got to the door I looked down at her and she looked up at me before facing away I kissed her cheek and walked out she closed the door slowly.

As he walked out I closed the door honestly I didn't know if he was telling the truth and everything but I was honestly feeling like shit. He just poured out his heart and if he didn't cheated I did and honestly I'm not going to lie I think I had attached some feelings for Roman his face was in my head the whole morning his smile his dimples and then I would feel like shit again. I walked up the stairs heading to room I seen that my phone had two notifications, I unlocked it noticing I had two messages one from Roman and one from Terrell. Terrell messaged read "I love you I hope you know that." Honestly seeing this broke me down a bit I honestly didn't know what to do I replied back" I know I do too." Before throwing my phone and getting up I walked to the bathroom and changed into a sports bra and some this compression Nike tights. I put my hair in a ponytail before going back into the room and seeing Romans reply and smiling before grabbing my phone and headphones and heading out the door.

Chapter 4 : First Home Game

When I got to the arena, I didn't really know what I was expecting it was the first game I was going to play and honestly I was hype. When I got to the locker room no one was there at first I was confused then I heard some noises coming out the shower. I walked toward the shower and immediately the whole team came running out throwing balloons at me some of the cheerleaders were there too.

"Gotcha nigga ." Roderick yelled out, my clothes were soaked I took off my shirt then sucked my teeth "why y'all do all this for y'all extra !"

Roderick laughed "initiation nigga, what you think you just going to join our team and not got hazed , get the fuck out of here." He laughed before handing me a towel.  

Coach then walked in and saw me soaked and saw the team all dressed "initiation?" He said smiling looking at his clipboard. "Yeah you told me to come early so I did, coach you set me up ." He laughed "I mean welcome to the big leagues kid.

Janelis Smith

"Babe lets go I don't want to be late to the game."  I heard Terrell yell from downstairs. "I'm almost done baby." I saw him walk inside the room from my mirror, I was applying a little makeup before we left.

"Baby you look fine trust me." He held my waist and gave me a kiss on my neck before grabbing my bag and jacket "I'm going to be waiting in the car babe." He said before running out the room.

I applied some eyeliner before walking out and grabbing my phone. I walked down the stairs and walked out the house and got into the car. "You good babe?" Terrell said turning on the car "yeah let's go." I said before giving him a peck on the lips. He kissed me back then I kissed him back again then he lick his lips and I bit mine and chuckled before slapping his arm"let's go nigga!" He pulled out the driveway chuckling and we drove to the stadium and parked where my brother told us too. When we got there we parked and Terrell got out and opened my door we linked arms before walking to this room my brother got us my mom was in there relaxing. She looked at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek and hugged Terrell and did the same. "Honey before you sit down your brother wanted to talk to you he said you can go see him in the locker room." I looked at Terrell who seemed excited as if he wanted to go but I chuckled "babe you stay here and keep mom company." I gave him a kiss on the lips before leaving to go to the locker room.

When I got to the locker room I seen all the guys huddled up I watched as they chanted before breaking up. Roderick spotted me waiting by the door and ran up to me " Do me a favor." I rolled my eyes before saying "what?" He smirked "here put these in the room okay." He gave me these pair of shoes and his phone and his bag. "Look I need you to take these to moms after the game were having a party and I don't want to worry about these things." I smiled grabbing the stuff then gave him a hug "good luck bro." I said before walking away I seen Roman I decided to go wish him luck too I walked up behind him before putting my hands overs his eyes. " good luck Roman ." He grabbed my hands before realizing it was me he smiled big " why thank you, but what are you doing after the game." He said leaning up against the locker.  " I had to drop off Roderick stuff then I didn’t have any plans really." I said looking up at him. He then flashed his teeth at me before telling me about the after party and inviting me “Can Terrell come?” He smiled before saying “Of course.”  he then began running out the locker room before he left I yelled “ kick some ass!” he yelled back “ Girl you already know!”

Kehlani Parrish

I was so excited to see Roman today after texting him nonstop and talking to him 24/7 it was good to have some time to finally see him. Although my schedule is busy more now then before and this was the only time I got to see him I really made sure I looked good. I sat in the front row and waited for the game to start some fans noticed me and came up asking me to sign some things and I did happily.

"Are you going to be singing the national anthem today." A girl asked me "actually no I'm here to support one of the new players Roman." Some of the fans got excited I smiled and told them politely "okay guys I love you all but the game is about to start." They understood and some hugged me before walking away.

The lights dimmed low before a loud voice came out the speakers "OKAY LA ARE YOU GUYS READY!!!" The audience went crazy yelling I even yelled. All you heard was Meek Mills and Drake Rico instrumental playing as the guys came out one by one. I watched waiting for Roman to come out. Suddenly the announced began introducing Roman" OKAY LA I’M GOING TO NEED YOU GUYS TO GIVE IT UP TO YOUR NEW POINT GUARD ROOOOOMMMMMMMAAANNNN GONZAALLEZZZZ!!!!" the crowd went crazy he ran out then smiled waving at everyone before hitting the dab. It was cute honestly and then the announcer introduced the last player. "GIVE IT UP FOR MISTER BIG TIME RODERICK SMIIIIIIITTHHHH!!" The crowd went crazy I really don't pay him no mind him, him  and Roman jumped and chest bumped before the lights turning back on. When the lights turned on I seen them all huddled up I was hoping he noticed me in the front I smiled as he waved to me and I waved back trying to hide my face since I was blushing.

Roman Gonzalez

Okay we are in the fourth quarter the score is 72 -74  we are up by two but they had the ball coach called a time out. "Huddle up guys , okay Smith strip the ball make sure they have no way in,you hear me!"

"Alright coach I got you ." Roderick said "Gonzalez make sure to look for your way in once you get the ball shot it okay we only have 15 seconds let's make sure we don't let them score we don't want this going into over time! Okay?" I looked at him and nodded before breaking out.

As we broke out all I can hear was the crowd chanting defense , me and Roderick slapped hands before I started blocking one of the players. The referee the blew the whistle and the game started immediately the other player shot the ball and I thought fuck but he missed Roderick got the rebound before and passing it back to me. Once I had the ball I ran down the court, I mean I took off dribbling not really looking back at the other guys knowing they were behind me I saw an opening but someone was in the way. I crossed him then ran up and shot a lay-up the ball hit the backboard and went in the crowd went crazy and the buzzer went off. Roderick came up and shook me up before one of the other players on the other team came up and told me "good game." I smiled back at them before saying "thanks man."

As soon as the game was done a reporter came up to me "wow what a first game Roman you scored 23 points and had 12 assist you were on fire tonight how are you feeling?" I wiped my forehead with my shirt  "well I'm feeling great honestly this game went great and I can't wait for the rest of this season." She smiled before congratulating me again and I walked off as she went to go interview Roderick.

I saw Kehlani but I didn't go up to her because well I didn't want people speculating stuff about us just yet. I went into the locker room quickly where coach was in there celebrating with some of the guys, I walked out the locker room as some of the guys pat my back. I grabbed my phone then texted Kehlani to meet me by the locker room doors. As I walked out the guys were all packing up and celebrating still I smiled as they walk past me and out the doors. I saw Kehlani walk past and she gave me a big hug I smiled then step back "sorry if I'm sweaty." I said smiling.

"Your fine boy don't sweat it see what I did there." She chuckled I laughed then rolled my eyes and laughed some more "that was super corny you know." She punched my arm before laughing "don't be a jerk." I hugged her again laughing "chill you can't hit the champ like that ." She rolled her eyes "oh god don't let this win go to your head."

She said pressing up on my chest I bit my lip as I grabbed her chin for her to look up at me her hands were wrapped around my waist. I leaned down and gave her a kiss on the lips as she kissed me back her arms went behind my neck and I kissed her slowly and slipped my tongue in her mouth and grabbed her ass. She blushed then pushed off of me and looked around " well that was nice and unexpected." She said smiling " well I thought maybe since I won I deserved a little something. "

I placed my hands on her waist bringing her closer again." Honestly you don't know how long I've been waiting for that kiss honestly it just sucks that I'm always busy and I can't really hangout." She said biting her lip I chuckled a bit "your good don't worry honestly I mean next time you’re free we better hangout ." I said gripping her waist she smiled before giving me a kiss "don't worry we will, but I have to go I'm sorry I have a concert later ." She began walking away I grabbed her wrist she looked back I stepped forward and gave her one more kiss this time she bit on my lip as I grabbed her face and kissed her slow. " okay text me ." She smiled " no you text me." She walked out and I bit my lip watching her switch her hips, she looked back and chuckled then rolled her eyes and left the locker room.

Meanwhile ...

"Look I'm not doing this right now Janelis." I said as I walked away from to the car. She looked at me not walking to the car "you coming or not?" I leaned against the car looking at her.

"Who the fuck was that Terrell?" She said standing there her arms crossed looking pissed it was kind of cute."It was no one why can't you trust me huh?" I said walking over to her trying to touch her waist she slapped my hand. " Look I'm not stupid that cheerleader knew you personally the way she was touching you when you guys were talking,do you know her yes or no?"

She said stepping backs some more "look me in the eyes and tell me nothing was going on between you im serious too." I grabbed her hips and with my thumb I held her chin up so she can look at me " I wasn't doing anything I promise." She then smiled then grabbed me behind the neck with one hand then leaned in closer. I leaned in closer to biting my lips she smiled before grabbing her keys and pushing me out the way.

"Terrell I'm not stupid at all and this isn't the first time find your own ride home nigga."  She walked to the car and turned it on and drove off. "fuck !" I said before sitting on the curb as I sat down I saw Mia walking up to me. "Look this isn't a good time Mia Janelis just left my ass because of you." She looked at me concerned "what did I do ,that made her leave you?" She said sitting down by me.

"She thought you and me are messing around." She laughed then I looked at her confused "why are you laughing?" She looked at me getting up" because why would me and you ever do anything together, your like a brother to me you helped me so much honestly I can't see that happening anytime soon or ever."
