I’m sure many of you have noticed this already, but I felt like making a post regardless. Not to complain, as I generally do, but rather...to enlighten.
It’s to complain.
But anyway, this post is going to be about Gracos and...their trident. There isn’t too much to say on the subject, so I’ll keep it brief. Well. As brief as I’m capable of.
There is an item that made its debut in the same game as Gracos, aka DQVI, called Gracos’ Trident.
This is Gracos.
And this is Gracos’ Trident.
I’m sure I don’t even need to point it out, but I’m going to anyway. That trident is most certainly not the trident Gracos wields. And this wasn’t just in one game. Gracos’ Trident has appeared in just about every game since and it always looks like that!
(I also checked the Japanese names and such to make sure the connection was in the original language of the games as well. The connection was still there.)
Amusingly enough, there is ONE game where Gracos’ Trident actually looks like Gracos’ Trident. That game is Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
Yeah.
And the reverse is also true. In 2013, DQVII was remade for the 3DS. And in that game, Gracos looks like this.
Look! It’s Gracos’ Trident! Actually wielded BY Gracos for the first time ever! Will Gracos’ weapon of choice finally be the trident that got its name from the sea demon?
Gracos in DQR, added on release (2017)
Gracos in DQMP, added in recent update (2018)
Yeah. The answer is no.

Korol is an asshat. The nicest thing they ever gave Pruslas was a statue... of Korol. Then they turned around and gave Jamirus a freaking grand piano the first time they could. It’s no surprise Pruslas got jealous.
Meanwhile, Pruslas is giving Korol poems and rainbow colored seashells and Korol is just like “Meh.” Pruslas hates cute things. Korol gave them a teddy bear and a stuffed bunny and Pruslas did NOT approve either time.
Gracos gives Jamirus golden and platinum rings left and right and Jamirus always treasures every one. Jamirus gives Gracos empty cans... which Gracos still loves.
The Sea Demon and Dreadfiend, Gracos. They give most the impression that they're lazy. This, however, could not be further from the truth. The reason they are always so tired is because they work too hard and tire themself out. They then need to recover their strength. They can be quite irritable when recovering their strength... or perhaps they're just always irritable? Regardless, they're actually one of the most down to earth of the Dreadfiends.
