It’s OK, don’t worry. Like I said, I did have content warnings. Still got a nasty surprise, but that was just bad luck.

Mind you, it’s hard to fault Robin for not reaching the “my wife has been replaced by a murderous shapeshifter” conclusion on his own. It’s probably higher in the Top 50 Reasons My Spouse Is Being Weird for people from the Enchanted Forest than it would be for someone from our world, but still a pretty far reach. And like the flashback showed, his sense of honour is this one central characteristic that he’s built his entire sense of self around. He feels like he failed Marian once already, and without a damn good reason, he’s not going to abandon her.

Poor sod.

OK, that’s weird. It works on my browser (shockingly), and I definitely don’t have you blocked or anything. (Obviously, since you reblogged from me, but I still double-checked, because I’m paranoid about these things *g*) Anyone else have this problem?

Honestly, I’m not even sure if it was Hook who ruined that particular relationship. (At least not directly). The real problem seems to be that the writers spent more and more time isolating Rumple (and, by extension, Belle) from the rest of the main cast, until he barely interacted with any of them, save for a few scenes where they asked him for help. (Well, I say “asked for”, because I’m a nice person, mostly) Considering how interconnected he was originally with everyones storylines, that writing decision did nobody any favours, I think.

Honestly, I never thought Will was much of an anything in s4 -- not even a jackass. Maybe slightly snarky, but on this show, who isn’t. He was just a baffling addition to the cast that did nothing, influenced nothing, and disappeared without a trace. I’m really glad I’m getting to know him better, because he’s an amazing character when given the chance.
