Okay, so I'm actually gonna ignore the fact that I read the books way before seeing the show and am gonna pretend that I never 'met' the characters before watching it. ;) Thanks for these, by the way!
1. The first character I first fell in love with
Arya. She was such a cutie! Gotta love the intro moments where you get a feel for her character, establishing that she is nothing like her sister and wants to belong to the world the way her brothers belong to it.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Probably Margaery. I liked her quite a bit in the books, but the show took the little we knew of her from those and elevated her to become an actual known player in the game. Natalie Dormer plays her with such backbone and subtlety, I couldn't help but love her.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Tyrion. *shrugs* I like his smartassed comments, sure, but the rest of it.. eh.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Jaime? Does everybody hate Jaime? I'm so fond of the dude.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Cersei. Her rapid descent was something I knew was gonna happen, but I was quite fond of her in season 1 and ugh.
6. The character I would totally smooch
7. The character I’d want to be like
Margaery, again. Love her.
8. The character I’d slap
Ramsay Snow. Theon Greyjoy. UGH.
I don't ship stuff in this show but I really liked Jon/Ygritte more than I ever thought I would so yeah.
10. A pairing that I despise
Everything but Jon/Ygritte, lol, but mainly Littlefinger's 'thing' for Sansa. GET AWAY FROM MY GIRL.
