One of our guest speakers at this event will be Wayne W. Daniel. He is a retired Georgia State University professor and the author of βPickinβ on Peachtree, A History of Country Music in Atlanta, Georgia,β published by the University of Illinois Press. He has had more than 200 articles about country, bluegrass, and southern gospel music appear in scholarly journals and popular magazines. Additionally, he has spoken frequently on these subjects to such groups as the Tennessee Folklore Society, International Folk Alliance, and International Country Music Conference.
