Baby love
Grocery shopping with your excitable boyfriend, Jackson Wang.
A/N- Thank you anon for the request! I’m sorry it’s so short but I hope you like it, sweetheart! :3
Thursday afternoon, your weekly grocery shopping date. A lot of people thought it was a weird day to shop on but you had a busy schedule and would really appreciate it if random strangers got off your case, okay. So maybe you were a little on edge today because for the first time, your boyfriend, Jackson Wang, had decided to tag along. Of course, you loved the everlivingshit out of him but, he could be so extra at times and considering your shopping trips were usually always calm and peaceful, having Jackson talking away and getting excited over every cute character he saw on packaging was wearing you down.
"Babe! Look!" He shrieked for the well..you had no idea how many times he had shrieked at you that way, you didn't think you could count so high but it was a fucking lot, you knew that much.
"Yeah, very nice, Jackson." You replied, just humouring him without looking over at whatever he was fawning over. Your attention was on the tubs of protein powder in front of you, a must have for Jackson. Usually, you knew exactly which one to get but they had changed the packaging and you only knew the correct brand by its previously purple tubs. The name always slipped your mind.
"We should have one." His tone was suddenly a lot softer but you barely noticed, just hummed in agreement, picking up the one you thought might be his usual brand. "Really?!"
"Yeah sure whatever, just put it in the trolley." You waved blindly towards the trolley beside you.
"Uh, babe?" Jackson's voice was very different all of a sudden and it grabbed your attention. You turned to find him with a baby in his arms, the mother looking on with an amused expression and your eyes grew wide. "I can't just put a baby in the cart."
"Why are you holding a baby?!" You shrieked, shoving the tub back onto the shelf blindly to step closer to him. "Jackson, give the child back."
"I will, he's just so cute." He cooed at the baby who giggled at the attention.
"Jackson, I'm sure his mother would like to get on with her shopping." You gave the mother an apologetic smile. She waved it off, still smiling amusedly at the young couple before her. Jackson pouted but reluctantly handed the baby back. You then realised it was wearing a little onesie with adorable dinosaurs printed all over. The mother and child left and Jackson gave you his whole attention, pout still tugging on his bottom lip. "Don't look at me like that, we've talked about this, Jackson, we're both too busy to have a baby anytime soon."
"But...he was so cute." He whined wrapping his arms around your waist and nuzzling his face into your neck. You let out a breath and curled your arms around his back.
"I know, baby."
"Can we at least get a puppy?"
"Same rules apply, it needs a lot of attention."
"Kitten?" You hesitated to reject his request. That second of silence gave Jackson hope and he straightened up quickly, beaming at you. "A kitten! We'll get a kitten!"
"It is not going to be a house cat. As soon as it's old enough we're getting a cat flap and it can go outside when it wants."
"Okay!"
"You're cleaning up after it until then." He nodded in agreement. "Meaning, litter."
"I will accept that responsibility." You couldn't help but let out a fond little laugh at his determined expression. He was so fucking cute.
"Okay baby, we can see how much food is today but we won't buy it until we know when we'll have the cat, okay?"
"Yeah! You're the best." He nudged your nose with his own gently. "Hey, guess what?"
"What?"
"I love you." Your cheeks lifted as you smiled wider.
"I love you too."
