3. The idea that the realm needs a marriage between Jon and a female ruler that will be just to solidify the future stability of the realm once the war is one

It’s no coincidence that the political future of the real revolves around Jon, Sansa, and Dany.

It’s also no future that Dany was what appears to be the match for Jon to the characters but they’ve gone out of their way to show the audience that the other person that’s clearly in this romantic political triangle is clearly the more superior choice

it’s also not a coincidence that the marriage the realm truly now needs has just become acceptable because of Jon’s parentage reveal, 

She DID take into account, that Jon will return with an army, but I highly doubt she was aware of Dany’s dragons as well as the Dothraki and Unsullied. So apparently I can RELATE to her being a little pissed about the lack of food for the rest of the army as she usually always makes sure the stores are filled.

I think it’s a great responsibility to be in charge of the resources of Winterfell and Sansa has done a great job in the past if you remember the scene in season 7, episode 3, when she was told that they didn’t have enough food left, especially not if the armies of the North come back to defend Winterfell. Sansa’s exemplarily replies by saying “Then we must prepare for that eventuality”.

She even suggests to build up the grain stores by receiving regular shipments from all the keeps in the North:

Additionally, she also requests the breastplates to be covered in leather as sort of a protection method against the approaching cold (!attentive!).

I DO UNDERSTAND that they need the army and dragons that Dany provides to defend the living, so I also understand that she is super draggy-furious about Sansa’s remark. But Sansa is the Lady of Winterfell, so she apparently wants to fulfill the requirements of that position. She is merely concerned for her people and hence a little upset about the fact that they need more resources than she initially calculated? I think that’s reasonable.

And last but not least: I think this is appropriate to say:

So I will not mention which leaks but I will just say its the one that everybody hates. Then GRRM created crap on book form.

Let me say first, I don’t believe the leaks for a few reasons

1. Bittersweet ending, this is nothing of the sort and I know people claiming that the Starks being alive is the upshot. Well we already got that with the death of NK if the leaks are true that won’t matter because they will die a more miserable death than if the dead had won.

2. GRRM outline and comments regarding Jon Snow’s ultimate fate. He said from the beginning he knew what he wanted to do with Jon that had never changed now going back to the original outline I don’t remember any mention of that type of miserable end which in turn would make Jon’s existence worst than meaningless as he would be forever seen as the greatest plot device in the history of literature. Trust me its a dubious title.

3. Foreshadowing and other literary devices. Why go through the trouble of foreshadowing and hidding a lie (Jon’s parents, conflicts if the hearts, parallels) to render it meaningless at the end. A story is built on expectations and sure during the story some will be dashed and new ones propped up the organic development of characters must follow the plot. The ending depicted in the leaks is made up out of thin air, has little of growth on it and seems more like simply dashing audience expectations for the sake of dashing them.

Sometimes my friends and I watch some brutal murders and heart-desolating tragedies together, by way of hanging out. This would be super weird, except that these things are ‘not real’, and are instead comprised of a variety of celebrated actors lying still with fake blood on their faces. 

And there is definitely a sense in which Iain Glen pretending to be dead is a vastly less terrible sight than the actual battle-slain corpse of a soldier. But watching this I feel like there is another sense in which this is more real than a video of a corpse would be. 

That video would be made by capturing the light bouncing off one person’s body for a matter of minutes. Whereas a universally recognizable fictional situation is made by light bouncing off hundreds of millions of real slain bodies, and into the horrified eyes of countless observers, grieving and gaping and processing together for thousands of years, until the stories they tell are over and over again filled with the composite-image of that horror. Like a five thousand year exposure seared into the film of the global psyche, and printed out in the myriad ‘fictions’ of movies and stories and metaphors and examples. Images of the aftermath of battle make their way to you not from the coincidental virgin imaginations of writers, but because there have been so, so many real battles.
