Was anyone else required by their school to read for like 30 minutes a day/required to read x amount of books in one quarter/semester (outside of coursework) in like middle school so you started reading a bunch of shitty easy-to-read 300-page YA novels that in retrospect had really weird/sus concepts and themes and the whole experience left you with an apprehension towards reading books, or was that just me?
also not that any of you care, but i ate chicken for the first time in nearly two years this weekend and my entrails didn’t become my extrails
maybe in two years i’ll cook myself an egg, and then it’s over for you bitches

It’s the first day of summer break for my kids, and it started as a total shit show.
Couldn’t find forms for kids’ camp physicals
Spent time looking online instead of riding herd on ADHD gal
Left a little late for doc appts and dance camp stuff wasn’t ready
Stopped back home to get dance camp stuff, let dogs out, only for stupid big puppy to go to town monching on a rhubarb leaf
Called vet. Induced puppy barfing.
But it got better. I got to take my son and father in law for walks in some of my favorite parts of St. Paul. We went to dinner at a delightful restaurant. And my daughter returned from Chinese dance and culture camp with ten silkworms and a pile of mulberry leaves. She’s super enthusiastic, and it’s adorable. I do not think she will be making silk from their cocoons, though, because I think she’ll be too upset about that process.
i'm really happy that there are still some really nice people in the overwatch community. i was scared to talk on team chat before i met some amazing peeps, and when i said my first words to them, my hands were shaking like crazy. now i talk like i'm not scared of anything and i'm really happy about that!!
