I know people have memed the hell out of it but truly I love this behavior from the jelly rings, chemotrophic animals are such a cool concept
The concept around them releasing extra jelly into the environment for an unknown altruistic purpose is just so interesting too, I like the idea that they're helping out an invisible symbiote in the water :)
My grandma gave me some of my mom's old Barbie dolls when I was a child. One doll stood out to me because she was a pig. It was odd because I had never seen a doll like her before. And I remember feeling sad because very few Barbie clothes I did have, wouldn't fit her. The flashy/gaudy pink dress that came with her originally had a black coffee stain and the back button was popped. I did find a Barbie dress that fit her, albeit couldn't fasten it. Sadly my grandma moved and my hand me down dolls were lost in the process.
Because I was a child and didn't know brands, I thought she was a doll of Miss Piggy. But recently I found out she was from a 1980s Mattel line called Gorgeous Creatures. And wow...these are such 80s dolls, but they do have a sort of beautiful charm to them.
Naturally when I see something so bold and beautiful...I must draw. I do plan on drawing the other gals but I am wondering what you think of these weird Mattel Dolls?

Started off w Ms. Heavenly Hippo!!!
I had sm fun drawing her!!!I don't usually draw Anthro characters so i had a lot of fun practicing w her design!!!
I drew her a bit differently from my usual artstyle,i wanted to draw her more similar to the EAH doll box artstyle!!!
