Lovingly titled: âOh, Wow, Iâm Really Actually Kinda Happy With My Life Nowâ a novel by Tim
âNoooo, papa, itâs gotta be taller!â Little Brian complained, trying to stack a block on top of the frankly impressive block castle he and his papa were making.
âIf we make it taller itâs going to fall, kiddo,â Steam tried to reason, âYou donât want it to fall, do you?â
âBut papaaaaaaa,â Brian whined.
Sighing and smiling, Steam picked the child up and set him on his hip. âWell oookayyyy,â He agreed, âBut you gotta be reaaaal careful where you put the blocks now okay?â
Brian nodded, entirely serious as he clutched his block to his chest.
And Tim just sat in his chair, watching. Heâd helped the build the base of the block castle, but when his hands had proved a little on the shaky side heâd been relegated to Chair Town by Brian so he wouldnât knock the castle over. He didnât mindâit meant he got to watch them go at it without being distracted.

Holy shit, he didnât think heâd ever felt so happy. Ever. Not in his entire life, for sure. Not for most of his afterlife.
But here, now, in a corporeal form in a house that was a lot like paradise with a darling little baby boy who had his genes and his fucking precious idiot husband, and friends and people who considered him family. And mostly his fucking precious idiot husband. He adored that little shit.
Like⌠Really, seriously adored him. Loved him with every last atom.
But he wasnât complaining. Good Mother he was not complaining. He was soâŚ
He was glad that he got this as his second one.
