I am forever grateful that this woman is my mother. She may not be with me physically anymore but she is surely here with me in spirit day in and and day out. She was and will always be my hero. I am the person I am today because of her. I witnessed her become a widow at the young age of 34 with 4 children with me being the oldest at 11 and my youngest sister being only 4. No matter what adversities came her way she handled them with courage and with strength like it was natural. If you had a problem she would go out of her way to help you find a solution. She taught me that there is always a solution to every problem you may encounter and nothing is impossible. Her most memorable quotes were "Don't sweat the small stuff and This too shall pass." She may not have been a perfect parent, but is there really such a thing?
