A random encounter in EVE.
I just wanted to share how i nearly died for the first time (relatively speaking) I was mining in belt for a while, then another miner came along. We chatted for a bit, teaching me about mining, chatted a while, and spoke about how generally you would be more worried about players attacking you rather than NPC rats. At this point, a suspect player jumped into the area, which i mentioned something along of the lines like "Like the suspect that just entered the area. ._." I luckily had just filled up my cargo full of ore, and was about to jump out. The other miner just went along the lines of "nah, we're in high sec, so it's fine." As it turns out, the suspect which was actually after me or so he says, then went after him instead and podded im for "giving the newbie bad info". I feel a little sorry for the miner, but i already knew technically anyone was fair game. Sorta. Then the suspect, a Goon, proceeded to teach me a little about stuff, recommend me some corps and donated to me some cash. :D He let me off on the count that i was a "cute newbie". Of course, he did threaten me that if he didnt see me in the corps he recommended within a week he would track me down and hunt me.
This game is AMAZING as to how anything can go. I LOVE IT.
