Estaba leyendo sobre todas las marcas de relojes en los que se podrá encontrar disponible el nuevo sistema operativo de Google para smart-watches (llamado -amorosamente- Wear OS), que son bastantes. Ya había reflexionado en un posteo anterior sobre lo honestamente inútiles que me parecen los relojes inteligentes, viendo en ellos el mismo destino o no uno muy diferente al de el resto de los relojes en general: el de pasar de ser herramientas “útiles” para algo, a simples artículos ornamentales y de joyería. (El razonamiento es bastente simple: ¿Quién necesita tener amarrada a su muñeca una máquina que te de la hora, teniendo en la bolsa un smartphone que te comunica eso y cien cosas más?) Pero justo en ese mismo sentido me llamaron la atención algunos modelos que realmente apelan mucho al aspecto estético y sobre todo, vintage -de diseños de relojes clásicos, previos incluso a la area digital-. Ahí si veo oportunidad, para que vean. Ya saben, el recurso de la nostalgia a todo lo que da, para hacer atractivo un wearable que si bien nunca ha logrado posicionarse como indispensable - o si quiera con una utilidad específica- al menos es estético como prenda. La nostalgia siempre atrapa a muchos consumidores (por eso le veo oportunidades). Joyería inteligente, lo llamaría yo. Joyería inteligente para idiotas ostentosos.
