Some "safe" shooting at the New Years Day club clout, always the best way to start the year! Reflecting on my archery year in 2018 I can only describe it as turbulent. There were highs and lows. Personal bests and personal worsts. Fun times and frustrations. After starting the season so well me expectations got the better of me and I subsequently fell apart under the self imposed pressure. Over the following months I have rebuilt my "psychological game" distancing myself emotionally to be more consistent and to forget about the bad shots. With a dedicated training programme for 2019 I'm sure it will be a great year, building on the positives of 2018 - Master Bowmen scores, shooting at The Royal Toxophilite Society and completing a whole unmarked round with a very respectable score! Lastly and most importantly, I would like to thank the people and sponsors who supported me in 2018: @thearcheryshop.co.uk @opticron #OxfordArcheryAcademy #GoodVibrationsArchery @barmondspecialsteels https://www.instagram.com/p/BsGJ-XGAH3j/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1tugcvwh7rhmv
