It's a nice feeling having friends that have known you through the years and who have stuck with you through everything. It's so easy to take these people for granted and overlook their friendship because it's a given that they will be there for you like they always have. But these are the people who deserve the most recognition and respect. I've known my best friends and some of my very close friends since middle school and they bring a different sense of comfort. It's hard to explain but the fact that they've seen me grow into the person I am today and continue to experience the same process of college and life (in general) has me cherishing their friendships to a whole new level. It's probably the most intimate level of friendship that I have ever experience and the only people ill truly become vulnerable to. We all go to different schools, we all are going through different paths and experiences, but we always make time for each other and pick up where we left off. Times like tonight makes me feel at home and brings this nostalgia and sense security that you can only find with family and that's what you are to me, family, and I wouldn't have any other way!
