So I absolute adore sending headcanons and ideas to friends and one time @blossom--of--snow had fallen asleep when I was struck with an idea and I thought oh I’ll just send her a few ideas which turned into 8k of a fully formed outline.

So basically Bobby gets a new job as a professor. I think I chose chemistry? Anyway his office is right next to legit the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen and she’s struggling with her bff in getting a couch situated in there and so he offers to help but the woman takes it the wrong way and they get off to a rocky start. The woman of course being Athena and hen the bff who is like let the man help. Anyway eventually Athena apologizes and they have office hours around the same time so they catch one another from time to time. Athens teaches Law students but there hadn’t been enough room so her office is randomly in another department.

My fave part so far that I can’t wait to write is Bobby catching May one evening needing a ride home from a party and him reassuring May he knows her mom and encouraging her to call Hen and send a picture of him and his trunk to verify his identity then he takes her home and Athena very wrongly assumes he’s trying to date her daughter.

It’s going to be a while before I get around to it but it’s a fun and sweet one and I’m excited to write it one day.

👀 Do you have any WIPs that you would never let see the light of day? If yes, what are they about?

yes i do 😂😂 there's a vm fic based on the 36 questions to fall in love that i couldn't quite make work. i think i'm still hoping to finish it one day (although i haven't touched it in so long) even if it's just for myself to read

👖 Are you a planner, plantser, or pantser? Is it consistent?

i'm a messy planner (is that a valid answer???) i CANNOT sit down specifically to write an outline, but as i'm daydreaming throughout life (washing dishes, just before falling asleep, during mass homilies 🤣) ideas for scenes, in-love realisation similes/metaphors, or a motif i want to build the fic around, all come to me and i'll jot them down in a notebook i keep above my desk. and then when i finally start writing i'll refer back to my notes. that said, some of my favourite passages to have written weren't planned in advance and come about like a gift from the universe and i adore that about writing.

🤔 What is the hardest part of writing fic?

i'm going through a period right now where nothing i write feels good and it's been hard. i accept that it's partly because uni's just been so much harder this year for me, and i've tried to be more involved in other things i'm passionate about, but i miss writing so much. i think i've read in posts that this period is like a fallow period, a dreaming period, and is just as necessary as the actual creating itself, so i'm just trying to make space for that. i also still struggle with being comparative and feeling not good enough when i read other people's incredible writing, but that's something i'm still working on. like my writing, i'm also still a work-in-progress
