One of my goals for this year (2023) is to get around the right people. Today I was around one of my best friends. Someone who I can freely share ideas with. The best thing is... We always push each other to the next level. Oftentimes, we get distracted by the wrong people around us. And these people don't help us grow. At all... They're not on the same page. They don't align with our values. And they don't see our vision as clearly as we do. Last year, this was me. I had the wrong people around me who were really only distracting me and dragging me down. I felt stuck. Chained down almost. These are people who had been in my life for a fair bit. Some were even childhood friends. But somewhere deep down, I knew. That these people would never help me grow. They wanted to hold me back. But at the start of this year, something changed. I decided to stop talking to these people. And so I did it. I cut them off. Blocked heaps of people who were telling me I couldn't make it. And I can't thank God enough for separating me from this negativity. Because now I realize it was the enemy trying to keep my potential trapped. I also cut out all social media (except for business purposes). And have focused on building stronger relationships with the people who are going to help me grow. As well as building new relationships through networking online and in person. Idk who else needs to hear this but... Don't keep yourself chained down. Instead, upgrade yourself with a better circle of people. To truly step into the greatest version of yourself, you must build a strong environment. And protect what goes in and out of your ears. Alex Toth P.S.
