Tony Stark opened a pet shelter after the battle of New York, and ever since he’s been quietly making sure all animals that ended up without homes/ owners due to the Avengers’ battles have a place to go that’s nice & safe and where they can either be recollected by their owners or given a new family. Sometimes if you’re lucky and have the guts to sneak into a battlezone after the Avengers have been fighting, you might get to glance Iron Man tucking puppies or cats or (on one rather memorable occasion) a pet skunk into his arms in order to fly them off to safety.
