Jack abbot carries menstrual products in his bag and no one can convince me otherwise.
He takes care of people- literally its his job. He’s seen what it’s like for women in the field, being put on the last priority of a military budget, and deciding the last thing to worry about was bled-through pants.
He always felt it was too inhuman to not provide that minor comfort at least. It always put a target on the backs of any female soldiers he worked with. The other men found it funny, humiliating. Jack wasn’t a fan- and he knew he had the privilege to convince their commander why it was necessary.
When he was in his late 20s, he made the excuse to purchase them for the medical tents to have on hand because a tampon could clog a wound /and/ absorb a lot of blood. He didn’t tell anybody that he was the one who requested the order- but he did (pleasantly) notice the lack of specific blood stain locations on uniforms.
Now, he carries them (and other products, as well) as a necessary part of any bag he carries. He knows its not likely for someone to ask him, but just in case, they’re there.
In his bag, in his and Robby’s bathroom cupboards at home, restocked in the PTMC’s bathrooms (ALL bathrooms), from his own pocket.
Because hey, he has all the money in the world now? Why not pay for something that matters.
