tbh this game escalated far quicker and far more brutal than i expected from it.
however the ending of prince of persia (2008) really confused and disappointed me. putting under the cut for spoilers
I remember feeling “WTF i did all that for??”. All this plot and effort - all for what? To destroy it in the end?
Literally sacrifice the world for his ‘love’? I don’t mean to doubt his feelings but i really doubt that Elika will appreciate his gesture when she wakes up. (i looked up the expansion pack - she really didn’t)
Now i see that like the polar opposite of royai 😁 Roy was close to Prince’s position. But he held back and didn’t betray Riza with selfish choice. Whereas Prince made Elika’s efforts and sacrifice basically pointless.
Of course, super grand and selfish actions done for love have right to exist. But in this particular case it made me more frustrated than moved.
