Well,getting into a book series that doesn’t seem to have a big fandom seems like a great idea. Though,makes me sad that there are not going to be many people to talk about it. The book series Gone by Michael Grant seems to be quite something. I’m only half way through the first book and it has me hooked so far. I have always been into the survival sort of series and well,having a bunch of kids in it makes the stakes even higher. Some parts seem out of a horror story. And I’m also a sucker for fantasy or sci-fy stories ~
Zankyou no Terror

While on an animation course (I made an animation! In a week!), I was told to watch this anime. By my director, to be exact, so I took it to heart and took time out to watch it.
It is excellent. Or, the beginning and end are excellent. The rest is a... sort of boring bridge.
I told my director to read the Gone series. We’ve been sending each other reactions to various things.
I finished this series, fairly quickly seeing as it was only 11 episodes. She’s on about page 70 of Gone.
I cannot wait for her to meet Caine for the first time. And, uh, every time after that.

Up there as one of my favourite books of all times. Probably my favourite book series.
I don’t know the purpose of this post. I want to talk to someone about these two series but director person hasn’t finished reading yet and no-one else has heard of Zankyou no Terror and/or Gone. So here I am, talking into the void of the world wide web.

The ‘Gone’ Series by Michael Grant
I’d like to begin by mentioning how I don’t believe that this series has received the recognition it deserves. The series is is a dystopian, science fiction series, which takes place in a Californian town.
A brief summary, without giving too much away:
One second, all of the residents of Perdido Beach were there. In the next second, all residents above the age of fifteen had disappeared and a giant barrier is created, not allowing anyone in, or out of the area. The main protagonist, Sam Temple, and his group of friends try to keep everyone safe and everything in order, especially when the wealthy children from a nearby private school arrive. Some of the youths show interesting capabilities whilst others just try to help as they can. Of course, chaos ensues. Devastating revelations are made, and dark forces work in the background.
This series is truly one of my favourite series, and is what I believe prompted my interest in science fiction, and dystopian/post-apocalyptic fiction. It explores the ideas of a society without leadership and other interesting themes, with a subtle element of romance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in other series, like the Divergent series, or The Maze Runner series.

Im really enjoying the first book of the gone series so far, its so unique and even scary at times quinn is my favourite so far he's so cute;3 I keep picturing sam as a pre revenge frank iero, quinn as a young oli sykes and astrid as chloe moretz lol :,)
