“You must think that I'm crazy You wanna replace me? Baby, there's N-n-n-n-n-n-no way You made me a wife, so I'll be queen 'til the end of my life N-n-n-n-n-n-no way.”  -Catherine of Aragon, SIX: The Musical
NAME: Lady Aquata Blackwell TITLE: The Lion Queen, The Desert Flower, HOUSE: House Drakken, formerly House Thorne OCCUPATION: Lady ALLIANCES: Simba, House Drakken, House Thorne (to an extent... mostly just her sisters there) BIOGRAPHY:Â
From a minor house in The Reach, Aquata knew it was her job to marry up. She struggled finding a match, at first-- she was abrasive and openly mercenary and despised the silly games that courtesans had to play to secure their matches.Â
Simba Blackwell was a breath of fresh air. He wore his ambitions openly, and Aquata liked that about him. She wasn’t in love, but she didn’t have to be. All she needed was power. And while some might have scorned Simba’s assertion that he was the rightful heir of the Blackwells, Aquata saw it as an opportunity. You had to be bold to win the Iron Throne, after all. Aquata couldn’t stand any of these simpering, social-climbing lords and ladies. She wanted to align herself with someone who knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to take it.
Lately, however, she’s beginning to worry about whether her place by his side is so secure, after all. She wouldn’t mind if he began to stray emotionally, but she fought hard for her title. She is beginning to realize how much of a gamble it is, aligning herself with Simba: he will do anything to seize power, and what if he decides she isn’t useful for that end any longer?
Aquata might just have to take matters into her own hands.
