Balaclava Mines, Whroo, Australia: Whroo Historic Area is 65 hectares of a remnant gold mining township within the world’s largest ironbark forest of 24,300 hectares. The open cut of the impressive Balaclava Mine marks one end of the journey. Remnants of Victoria's gold rush era can be discovered all along the way.
