This is without a doubt the stupidest thing I ever made. It's a dubstep (sort of I think kinda...) with the voice of Goldbrain, inconspicuously recorded over Skype as we messed with the poor guy till he was nothing but an empty, rustling husk~
This is the week that marks the release of Best Coast's "The Only Place." You should reacquaint yourself with Afro Darlings' "California Sasquatch EP." Its full of 4 great songs that defy genre while simultaneously synthesizing a variety of different influences.
The problem with Best Coast, if you're from Los Angeles, is that blogs all over the world have decided that this particular band defines California Indie Music. This is false. If you're looking for substance and you still only think that it can be found on the east coast, or further north from Los Angeles, then you haven't heard Afro Darlings.
They will change the conversation about Los Angeles, if not them, some of the great musicians who are associated: Don Orozanna, Digsby Johnson, other Goldbrain associates(official and unofficial by relation/association etc.) I only hope I got the names right for your benefit!
