I’m reading Going Bovine

And I’m like “whoa - a book about a kid with Mad Cow Disease?”

Surely that would never happen.

Unit I see this headline the other day...

When a patient at at Washington Regional Hospital was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease all operating rooms had to be closed to prevent transmission to other patients.

Creutzfeldy-Jakob is the fancy way of saying Mad Cow Disease-

She seriously is. I LOVE reading her blogs. I love her crazy books. The Gemma Doyle trilogy taught me about imperfect characters almost as much as Harry Potter did, plus what girl doesn't love Victorian boarding schools with magic? 

And beauty queens stuck on an island?

And someone with Mad Cow disease?

WTF YES.

I think we would ... scratch that, I think we SHOULD be in a writing group together and I would die if she gave me advice. Utterly die.
