Time for a rant bc I hate Instagram!! I've had the same account and been on the app for 6 years. A couple days ago, I got my account suspended for no reason. Looking back now, I think it was because I was unfollowing a bunch of people at one time. Anyway, I know this has happened to people before and so I make an appeal. I do the thing to send a code to myself to get back into the account. The code is not sending. So I request a new one. After a little bit of googling and digging on reddit, I find that like many others with this issue, I have the number that Instagram uses to send codes blocked. So I unblock it and request a new code. They say there are too many attempts and that I need to wait for 24 hrs. So I do. I try again after 24 hrs and it gives me the same message. Too many attempts. After trying any other possible way to get into the account, I throw the towel in and create a new account. Then, while my friends are following me and I try to follow them back, I get this message:
After getting frustrated and getting the same message from different sources, I decide to wait until morning to follow my people back. So I wake up this morning and try following people back again, only to get the same message. This has never been an issue on any of my other accounts. On my old main, I could follow like 30+ people in a day and there would be no issue. I assume that these messages are because those spam accounts pretending to be other people always follow a ton of people at one time, but this is so annoying. Pls, I just want to follow the people I care about again and get things back to normal. I realize that this is like such a non issue, but this is my blog and I reserve the right to complain about issues that ultimately don't matter.
