I should mention that Sad’iekke is like…I dunno 10-12 when Rezan dies. I call him a priest of Rezan…he was basically being trained by the actual (now Loa-less) priests how to be a glorified janitor of the temples. Temples that got emptier and emptier each year.
…yeah, it’s not surprising that he eventually drops Rezan entirely after returning to Zandalar -from his adventures with Gohn- and begins focusing on Jani.
He was always oddly fond of saurids.
So I just found out about the Loa of Scavengers, Jani, and her punishment if you disrespect her statue.
Gohn would absolutely get turned into a Saurid for a bit for Jani’s amusement.
Gohn was raised in the Eastern Kingdoms by a human woman. A woman that is not particularly religious. So he’s very much not got that “primal fear of Loa” hardwired into him as much as it ought to be. Also, he just doesn’t like saurids.
He lived on a farm where 90% of the animals love to be pet. He proceeded to get the shit bitten out of him the first time he tried to pet a random saurid.
So yeah, Gohn is still a fan of farm cows over saurids any day. Good for him that Sadie wasn’t able to bring Peaches with them.
