This is the 2nd piece I did. I don’t usually name any of my pieces, mainly because I personally feel like it forces a narrative on the viewer and I like to keep my pieces as open to interpretation as possible, even if I did/do have a specific meaning behind them. These collections are different though, they speak to me and the name just naturally comes up. So I’ve decided to name them all that i possibly can. This guy holds a special place in my heart. Back in June this is where the whole business idea really started from. I knew I wanted to do something more with my art but I wasn’t sure of what exactly. So I started with the hands and the rest is history. You’ll notice that all my pieces have hands in some sort of position or another, this has both been a great learning experience BUT also a curse all at the same time lol (my fellow artist will understand why). This piece also introduced me to a new way of making shadows (it’s not really new per say but it’s just not something I had done with any of my past drawings) so that got passed down to future pieces as well as the eyes (which is a whole other story for another time).
