The Apostate’s Raiment is powered armor that causes rapid neuronal death in its wearer due to quantum link exposure, but allows an Engineer to maintain a direct neural shunt to their God outside of its armor and survive the catastrophic environments produced by war between Gods. it is apostasy to don, and heresy to use. to be mortal and effect the outcome of conflict between Gods through subterfuge, at the cost of your own life, would necessitate turning your back on the accepted doctrine of worship on Eliphas
