The vision of Yuri's panic comes and goes, like a gust of wind through the tiny room, almost disorienting and chilling from the speed in which it came. Giovanni braces himself and looks around at his companions to assess if he was alone in this experience.
From their faces, and the Captain's statement, he could gather that he wasn't.
A detail lingers in his mind's eye from the experience- a slit palm, a bloody vial-
"Matsuba," he speaks suddenly, "may I see the vial?"
Matsuba hands it over without protest, an expression of focus entirely elsewhere- a sign that he was at work as a medium.
Content to leave the mystic to the metaphysical, he tends to the physical, lowering the vial for Persian to smell with a silent request.
[See if you can track her.]
Persian gives a nod and slinks around the room. He approaches Wesker and his Houndoom with the blood-stained vial.
"Here, this belongs to her. Our chances may be better if we both have our monsters tracking her."
Houndoom and Persian were off to search.
Sadly, it seemed that Wesker's Houndoom was having a bit of trouble, distracted by all kinds of scents linked to th blood. He kept making whining sounds and circling around within the room, confused. Thankfully there were enough human bodies around so he didn't hurt himself nosing into things a little too enthusiastically, in his confusion.
Giovanni's Persian was a pro at this. She slinked over to the door where surely her blood had to have made its way onto, according to the vision they had. There was nothing on it, yet she was sniffing right at the spot where Yuri had been. However, she did not stop there, now tracing the steps back through the entrance hall, seemingly to retrace the steps Yuri had taken prior.
You would think she would have remained where the priestess had been seen last, but she went in the opposite direction. The feline Pokemon scratched at the western door, the trail leading her there.
