God chose us, in His love, before the world even existed and destined for us to be His own children. He did this out of His kindness and because it pleased Him. (Ephesians 1:4-5) What do we need to do in return for all the blessings and love of God? Have Faith - that’s it. Faith pleases God so much. Our love, trust and faith are all God wants from us. A small price for salvation, love, joy, peace and all the other blessings our Heavenly Father wants to give us? I have a quote about Faith on a fridge magnet that says: “Faith is resting in His love, His presence, His provision”. I haven’t been able to find out who originally said it, but it’s one of my favourite quotes. If we have faith, we can rest and have peace, knowing that the one who loves us the most will take care of the rest, His thoughts and ways are different from ours (Isaiah 55:8-9) and so is His sense of timing, so we may not get what we want and not when and how we want it! The one thing we can always be certain of is God’s kindness and deep, abiding, everlasting love for us. (Jeremiah 31:3)
