Although he has never shied away from the attention of others and always excelled in the public eye, all of his social media profiles have always been carefully curated so as to, above all else, preserve his own and his family’s privacy.
During his long tenure as the mayor, his accounts were run by his assistants and staffers, who fostered engagement on his behalf and helped him rally the support and trust of his constituents, promoting local events and highlighting every achievement of his government and the community of Godscobh. Since his decision to step down from office, however, those accounts have become inactive, and he has every intention to allow them to remain that way.
The only active social media accounts he possesses, and has ever had any personal interest and stake in, are his accounts on Hinge and Tinder, created in the aftermath of his departure from politics during the last election cycle, which he manages himself and makes frequent use of.
Between the two, he is far more partial to Hinge as a way of meeting new people and finding potential partners. As someone who sees himself as the best and is only interested in the best in return, the appeal of Hinge for him lies in how much more curated and informative the profiles are, which allows him to be far more discerning when it comes to who to respond to and identifying who does or does not meet his impossibly high standards.
Beyond that, his phone is used sparsely and for far more practical purposes: Keeping himself on top of his very busy schedule, corresponding with his professional counterparts, reading the news and, occasionally, taking photographs of what he finds beautiful enough to wish to see again.
