I JUST WANT CAS TO BE THAT ANGEL THAT LURKS AROUND IN CHUCK'S LIFE AND CHUCK FEEDS HIM WHISKEY AND LIME OR SOMETHING AND CAS READS HIS MANUSCRIPTS AND CAS DOESN'T SPEAK ALRIGHT -- HE ISN'T ALLOWED TO SPEAK BECAUSE OF HEAVEN'S ORDERS -- AND SO CHUCK MAKES UP STORIES AND SO WHAT IF THE STORIES ARE TRUE ANYWAY. IT FLOWS IS WHAT'S IMPORTANT AND ANYWAY, NOT THE POINT.

THE POINT IS THAT CAS IS LURKING IN CHUCK'S HOUSE AND SOMETIMES THEY EAT TOGETHER AND SOMETIMES CHUCK WILL WAKE UP FROM A NAP ON THE SOFA TO FIND CASTIEL LEANING OVER HIM, WATCHING HIM CURIOUSLY. MOST OF THE TIME THOUGH, CAS JUST READS, SITTING PRECARIOUSLY ON THE EDGE OF THE KITCHEN COUNTERS WITH HIS LEGS HITCHED UP AND THE PAGES OF CHUCK'S MANUSCRIPTS  TUCKED IN THE CROOK OF HIS FINGERS.

"i don't remember who i am," he says quietly. "i don't remember who you are—" 

"don't you?" asks the man sitting at the cluttered desk. he sounds calm and unworried. "i think you do. or you will, one day." 

"no offense, but 'one day' isn't very concrete."  

"well, if there's one thing i've learned from years of holing myself up in this room to write, it's that everything has its moment, you know?" 

he frowns. "no." 

the man takes off his reading glasses, rubs at the bridge of his nose. "in the meantime, you can call me chuck."
